I like the people or at least 99.99999% of the people

the site for me is a lot like watching reality tv, but interactive and far more epic. i don't really miss anything about the site per se, that is, there are some past members that i wish were still around.

I miss SG Robin. I don't know if she was bitch or not, but she was hot.

As far as I'm concerned it's the blogs, reading the adventures and mishaps of a lot of people. With the undeniable bonus of boobs, because let's face it, we all love them.

I've met many different and all sorts of amazing people through here, so I'm a happy camper. Although I do miss some people, like Ges, Keri & Arielle very much.

Honestly? My friends are here, I like harshing on retards and creeps, and I like naked women. That's pretty much it. Oh, and having a place to vent is pretty nice too.

I'm still here because of people like you.

The friends I've made here. Although I don't talk to them much, I still like to be able to keep up with their lives in some form.

It's mostly just because of the hot, naked girl pics. I do have to say that this is (for the most part) one of the most elevated and intelligent web based communities I've ever been a "citizen" of...

I miss more orignal, creative sets, the pre-Myspace era. I guess I stay to journal stalk and for the groups.

Y'know how some restaurants say, "Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere"? That's how I look @ SG: Come for the boobs, stay for the people...or something like that. I've made a lot of great friends and connections on this site, and that's valuable. I do miss the pre-MySpace days where there were less girls and less people and a better sense of community. Now it's kinda like a vast warehouse and I kinda stay in my own little part of it.

I miss a less exclusive Newswire, when editors were there to make sure posts had a level of grammatical correctness and wasn't a topic against SG policy. (Like hate speech or something.) It used to be SGs and members could submit news stories and have a decent chance of seeing them get posted, but a couple of years ago, the site made a change to get "professionals" to do the bulk of the writing.

I also remember Army Points for participating in things like the Newswire, or getting people to join the site. When they cancelled it, I was just a little short of being able to get something from the store, so that kinda sucked. I don't know what branding and rewards program is in place now, but I suspect it's a 'ca$h for you' kinda deal, like every other place.

What keeps me around? There's still a community here and great members and SGs to talk to and get to know. I avoid most of the "drama" as people making mountains out of molehills. Like gaming, or sex, SG is meant to be enjoyed in whatever way you like. If it's no longer enjoyable, then perhaps they're missing the point! Getting into fights, pissing people off and stirring up drama seems counter-productive to enjoyment of what SG has to offer.

I showed up here on a recomendation from another site that was going under fronted by Poppy Z. Brite and friends.... I found it to be the most interesting nearly porn out there and I bought into the concept.

six and a half years later and still here because the community has kept my interest, I've made some genuinely awesome friends through the site, and the discussions...though they descend maddeningly into troll-dom and name calling sometimes...are more interesting than just surfing CNN.com.

not that there haven't been times when I've thought "I could leave the site and not be any worse for it..." but I know there's and interaction that I'd miss.

and I still find myself occasionally floored by a girl or set.
