I made the mistake of watching the Buffy episode "The Body" just now, so it made me sad. I think it's the second most well-made episode in Buffy history, right after "Hush". You know, I feel like a dork for loving Whedon's TV shows so much, but honestly, the guy makes an amazing piece of television sometimes.

I also made the mistake of looking at Blingies, which are probably one of the stupidest things to come out of the internet, but I still had fun making one. And PaulNikon made one for me as well (though apparently it was originaly made by SG Bowie!). Since this is entry is already pretty nerdy I'll keep talking about nerdy things, I suppose. I am depressed thinking about leaving my internship. Honestly it is one of the best experiences I've had in my academic career, and I am going to miss it tremendously. Sometime before my last day my supervisor is going to help me with my job search and take me out to dinner, which is really kind and awesome of her.

I am currently re-reading "The Secret Garden" and I just finished re-reading "The Hobbit". When I get back to my hometown I am going to find my copies of the Lord of the Rings and re-read those. I used to re-read it once every year, but right now it's been two years since I had a chance to read it.

And today I wrote 15 pages worth of papers and slide shows, so go me! All I have left to do for the semester is a presentation for one of my papers (just to my teacher), two other presentations, and a slide show. Huzzah!

I love the Secret Garden, as well as A Little Princess, I still re-read each of them on a regular basis.

PS- I have never seen an episode of Buffy, how wrong is that?

i'm right there with you about "The Body". it's incredible. i tear up whenever i see it because it reminds me of my late mother. i love Whedon!

Everytime I watch "The Gift" I tear up at the big fight scene at the end. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

Oh hell no!!!! Buffy should be mandatory in high school and at least an option in college. In fact, people should be required to at least know a bit about the Whedonverse to be hired to do any jobs.

Like, "What's number 5 of the things NOT to tell your boss, according to Xander Harris?"

Now I know what you mean. I watched that episode last saturday for the first time since it originally aired. Now I remember why I kind of loved and still avoided it. It's almost too real, isn't it.

you're right. this post is nerdy, and dammit that gets me hot. ahhahahaa! i love the lotr books and the hobbit too. great stuff. the last time i shroomed with a bunch of friends we were listening to my ipod on shuffle and the hobbit on tape (as read by martin short) came on. awesome stuff. i cant reccomend it enough.
