It has been such a long time since a new poison elves comic has come out and last I heard drew hayes was really sick....so this is good news to me! I hope that he is well enough to start writing again. The story was getting really exciting!

This is me according to my little host brother Su-chan. he worked really hard to produce this ^-^
hehe it made me smile alot. never had someone draw me before hahaha
anyway I have a fever and am sick so I am going to try and sleep it off >.< I never get sick but when I do it is bad generally. It takes massive cooties to bring me down. I should go buy some of those masks that many of the Japanese wear when they are sick so I do not spead my sickness and I can look fashionable too haha.

Apocalyptica in Japan!
Oh my I just found out that Apocalyptica will be playing in Japan next month!
Along with some other metal groups from Finland. I have always wanted to see Apocalyptica and it should be very fun to see them in Japan.
I journeyed to the local lawsons and after much confusion with the ticket machine, pushing random buttons, and getting some assistance from the lady working there I now have a ticket to go see the show in may!!
yay! Japan just got 100 times more exiciting...if that is even possible. It truly is a terrible country for me to be in. I get excited about way too many things on a daily basis. >.<
still working on getting pictures up. Hopefully the computers at school will allow me to do so soon!

Oh my I just found out that Apocalyptica will be playing in Japan next month!

took the japanese placement exam today!!
wow it was tough! I need to learn more kanji I think.
Well wherever they place me I know i will be happy because I get to learn new things and practice the language!
After the exam I wandered around campus beecause there was a a parade of students trying to get people to join their clubs and circles. I enjoyed looking around and even found some I was interested in, tea ceremony and ikebana. Should be lots of fun. They are two things I have always wanted to learn and what better place to do them than in Japan.
Well I am quite tired from taking the test so I think I will be off for a little rest.

ah the cherry blossoms are almost in full bloom here! So pretty!
I went to a park the other day in kichijyoji to walk around and look at the trees. There were lots of drunk businessmen and students enjoying there picnic under the trees. ^-^
the past few days I have been wandering around harajuku and akihabara. Those places are too visually stimulating for me haha. I spent so much time in hobby stores in akihabara looking at all the wonderful action figures of video game characters and anime characters. My favorite of the day was of Dizzy from guilty gear....it was amazing but over 700 dollars!!! Lots of otakus were there which was amusing. I have to read the signs more closely because I tend to accidentily walk into hentai sections of stores haha. I enjoy looking around those sections but its odd when I first go in because I am the only girl there and its like time stops haha it gets really quiet and the guys there just stare at me the whole time I am in there. I think next time I go into a hentai section Ill try and make conversatiosn with some of the guys. hey I am preverted too! Ill ask them which things they recommend. yay makinf friends is fun hah.
I visited a baby the stars shine bright shop. If any of you have seen kamikaze girls its that store that was featured in that movie. So many cute dresses. it was a fun adventure.
I think the next thing I will do is go buy some bras here. See I had this problem the US where I could not ever find bras my size. >.< I went into a underwear store the other day here and oh my they had mistil sized bras everywhere!!! It was amazing and made me happy to know that somewhere my size bras do exist. Maybe I cant find them in the US because Japan has been hording them all o.O
anyway I must be off!

well arrived in japan safely!
wow so I sure am happy I decided to go to japan. I am having so much fun and learning lots. I was worried to go and thought about not trying out for this program often but I am so glad I stuck with it. the first days in japan I stayed with some kids from the program at a hotel. we did some orientation and yesterday i moved in with my host family! they are so nice and not traditional. naoki and miharu my host okaasan and otousan are alittle older than I but are into so many of the things I am into. naoki loves anime and manga. he has over 2000 manga!! he also loves video games and went out today to buy puyopuyo for us to play because he heard I liked it haha. miharu loves japanese grammer and explaining it and I love learning it so everytime we talk its like a big nerdy conversation and I ask her questions about grammar and new words. I live in a town called mitaka and it:s very close to studio ghibli....hayao miyazakis studio! I cant wait to go there and poke around.
its nice to be in a homestay because I am surrounded by japanese all day. my host family also fills me in about fun things to do in the city. its nice to be away from the other kids in the program too because they just want to speak in english and I am here to learn and practice japanese.When I was with the other kids so many of them would flock to me even when I was trying to hide out from them haha. I made lots of friends without trying....lots of nerdy kids ^-^ one of them had this keen ability to find me where ever I was it was slightly creepy and he would not leave my side. >.< so I traveled to shinjuku with him and he knows no japanese so he was freaked out the whole time haha.
there have been some neat things I have noticed while I have been here so far. bikes and motorbikes are not locked up at all on street. everyone is crazy about eggs and mayo not together just in general. donuts here are awesome...not really sweet like in america. game stores are so neat here! I wish japanese ps1 and 2 games could be played on my american system. today I saw valkyrie profile for 18 dollars!! in america its 120 plus! they also had harder to find games like tales of destiny. so jealous of japanese gamers!
well I must be off my little playmate suzuka is wanting to play and by play I mean throw balls and marbles at me. sure seems to make the little guy happy.

just went to the zoo to see some new exhibits. They had bobcats and black bears =^.^= i was a fan of the bobcats. Wandered around the rest of the zoo. There was nice weather and good company.
After that we settled in to watch the last starfighter and then jetted off to louis and clark college to watch dagger of the mind, a shakespearian rock band. They were very cute.
Going to Japan in one day! Most of my bags are packed and I have just a few more things to get in order!
I am getting excited and also anxious to fly >.<
