killing some time

so today I had about an hour and a half to kill before I got to see Pirates 3.
During that time I had one of the most interesting shopping experiences. I decided to look around a bra/underwear store because there were some cute items on display and I need new bras because my lifestype in Japan has been causing me to shrink. So sizes here are a lot different in america so I had no idea what size I was. I decided of course the best thing to do would to be try things I picked out on to make sure they fit. haha but what I did not expect was some lady entering my dressing room and gropping me hahaha.

first a a lady showed me to a dressing room and told me the best way to put the bra on and then she left. Ok that was nice and helpful. So I tried it on and decided it was good and was about to take it off when the lady came back and asked how things were. I replied that I was fine and then she asked if she could come in. I was confused but figured she must have a good reason. So in she came wearing white gloves. o.O She started tugging all the straps and then shoved her hands in the bra cups and adjusted things. hmmm very interesting. Then she reported to me that the bra looked like it fit me really well. I had come to that conclusion myself but I guess it was good to have a professional opinion haha. hmmm glad I did not try on the underwear I wonder what would have happened then.

So I now have decided that I want to work at a Japanese lingerie store. I will just brush up on my super polite customer service language and I will be set! Sounds like fun!

I ended up purchasing a bra that is quite possibly a significant other's worst nightmare. It is super hard to take off but adorable. Even I have trouble taking it off.

After that interesting shopping experience I went to see pirate 3. There was so much pirates 3 goods being sold. You could buy bags, school supplies, a replica of jack sparrow's compas, charms, cards, post cards, posters, rings and so much more. I could not believe how many goods there were. Movie was fun. i got distracted looking at all the creatures, makeup, and costumes though ^_^

Now off to celebrate my host brother's third birthday!

It is the mission of whoever reads this to learn this march in the below clip. the first part of the clip is teaching you how to do the moves and then some ninjas join in to do the march also and that is when it looks neat.



My little host brother su-chan makes me do this dance/exercise almost everyday with him. It would be really fun and sweet looking if we could wrangle up a bunch of people and do it in a random place sometime.

I love the show pitagora suittchi and the march and exercise segments of the show are fun. I enjoy how they get different types of people to do the the segments like the ninjas in the above clips ....but the one that amuses me so far is the clip below. They got some random people on a research team in the antarctic to do the exercise version of the march haha. random and amusing.

man vs lion

ah the joys of Japanese TV

I just watched a man attempt to beat a lion at eating 25 steaks.
The guy lost sooooo badly to the lion. He was eating his steaks with a fork and a knife and only managed to get through 3 steaks and the lion just inhaled all of his own steaks in a matter of few minutes. It was epic.

It was a nice break from all the news on TV today that dealt with some 17 year old girl who killed her mom and walked all the way to the police holding her mom's head in front of her and upon arriving at police showed them the head and said she killed her mom....... creepy. Japan has been having some odd murders lately.

ok back to essay writing. -_- and more news about that murder. : (

heh just found out

my school campus has been closed for an entire week due to measles being a huge problem in Japan currently. I bunch of kids contracted it at school and it is a particular bad case for adults.

So now I have an entire week free. ah that will be nice. I was starting to get swamped with work!

I hope I do not get the measles thought! eep

I journeyed to the theater in Kichijyoji yesterday and watch Spiderman three.
It was my first time going to a Japanese movie theater....a fun and interesting experience. Upon entering the theater there were no people selling candy, popcorn hot dogs etc. instead there were two drink vending machines as well as fresh popcorn and potatoe chip vending machines. hehe. There was a area that sold spiderman movie merchandise such as key chains, pens, and an art/story book. After each of the previews for coming attractions there was a mini commerical advertising what merchandise you could purchase if you came to see that particular movie. I thought that was kind of interesting.

I really enjoyed he movie. Special effect, fight scenes, etc were fantastic.
the movie was in English with Japanese subtitles so I had fun trying to read the subtitles and seeing how things were translated. It seems like a lot of the jokes were lost in translation.....I and a few other Americans were the only ones laughing at some points. Quite possibly the best part of the movie was that "wicked awesome" was translated as "yatta ne". hahah I got way too much amusement out of that.

I rode my host dad's bike to the theater and I am getting quite good at dodging all the other bikers and pedestrians. Never a dull moment when biking here. Always have to be on guard and have good reflexes.

ok off to go get some more sleep. I stayed up way too late playing video games with my host dad. Need to get my energy back so I can play with su-monster.
