yaho everyone!
I do not have much free time here at the moment but I just wanted to let everyone know that I did not die from the typhoon or the multiple earthquakes that have occured these past few weeks ^_^
I also wanted to say hi!
I have some huge finals approaching and only about a week and a half left here so everyday is full of studying and hanging out with friends and my host family.
I will update more and post lots of pictures most likely after all this fun chaos is over.
Miss you all,
much <3 and many hugs

yaho everyone!
hmm where to start? So much has happened since I last wrote about my adventures. Perhaps instead of bombarding you all with every detail of the fun times I have had I will just share my grand adventure from today!
When I first came to Japan I promised one of the kids who I befriended here that I would go to Harajuku with him and dress-up/cosplay. Well he decided to cash in on that promise today! So I woke up bright and early and got all dressed up in some gothic lolita clothing, hopped on a train and met the above mentioned firend, mike, as well as miss emma and DP. Mike and I were the only ones dressed up and DP and emma were along for the fun and to document the adventures. ^_^
I should mention for those of you who may not know, that Harajuku is a very trendy town. Kids dress up in lolita clothing, as j-rockers, anime characters, etc and hang out in certain sections of the town with their friends. then there are a bunch of people running around taking pictures of these people. Usually sunday is the biggest day for this type of thing to happen. So we decided to to Sunday.
Here is our adventure!
Mike and I getting ready to take on Harajuku

Me as as a gothic lolita

Mike as a cowboy from hell

DP decided to take some pictures using the sepia option on his camera to give us an old timey look...haha I like how you can see cars in the background and the main road ^_^

We just went to have fun and were not prepared for the massive amount of people that wanted to take pictures with us. There are so many people dressed up we thought we would blend in and no one would want to take pictures but we were very very wrong haha. Every time we turned around there were at least 5 people trying ot take pictures of us and on top of that many more acutally asked to be in pictures with us. We had quite the fan club.

There was one very very creepy guy out of all the people that took pictures of us. He seemed harmless at first but then he wanted to take pictures of me by myself and grabbed me and kept taking lot of pictures. I said that it was enough and my friends had to step in and get him to stop and leave me alone. >.<

Here are some other cute cosplayers ^_^

There was a guy dancing all alone to the police and U2. He had quite the moves.

DP and I decide to dance with him haha

Just goofing around some

There were some people giving out free hugs! How could I resist!? I sprinted towards this lady to give her a hug and she saw me coming and ran at me too. It was cute

It was very hot today and being all dressed in black with so many layers; frilly shirt, bonnet, bloomers, tights, undershirt, heavy dress. I had to stop and a take a rest ^_^ wow was that a bad idea the moment I sat down a ton of people crowded around and snapped photos haha. Apparently they thought my pose was cute.

I passed my bonnet around for people to try on. I thought others needed to get in on all the fun ^_^
Here is miss emma.

and DP

Here is one of the busiest streets in Harajuku. The famous Takeshitadori

Well I had such a blast today! And now school starts again tomorrow.
More plans are being hatched for our last month here so I will try and update more with goodies and tales of some of my adventures. I think Tokyo disneyland might be next haha.
I hope you are all well! Drop me a line and say hey and tell me how you have been.

woohoo computer finally got fixed!
I will try and update sometime soon after my classes are over today.
But right now I have to study for a vocab and kanji quiz and then give a speech.
After that it is off to an aquarium and some arcades with one of my buddies here.

It is midterms here o.O and I went to miyajima and hiroshima this past weekend....so I have been quite busy and have had no time to update! Since returning to Tokyo my days have been full of studying Kanji, Japanese grammar, and writing essays in Japanese. When I am not doing those fun activities I am rushing home on a train to catch some rest before I have to get up and do more studying. haha. It should all be over soon though and then I will have time to share my adventures with you as well as some pictures.
Quick updates for the time being,...
my front of my hair is back to being a wonderful shade of red. i received dye and bleach rom some lovely friends in the mail right before I left for hiroshima. I could not wait to dye it so I bleached and dyes my hair in the hotel at hiroshima using my hands and a tiny hotel complementary tooth brush! That took skill and it turned out fantstic. ^-^
I made many animal friends on my trip, koi and turtles in the hiroshima castle moat and lots of deer on miyajima island. I discovered that senbei is the way to a Japanese deer's heart or your make of Hiroshima haha. One bit me on the butt.
Some friends and I had fun pretending to be ninjas at hiroshima castle.
Had the chance to talk with a 74 year old atomic bombing survivor. Really sad but very enlightening.
participated in the local yukata festival.
traveled to the highest part of Miyajima.
Rode my first cable car.
Realized how much I missed peanut butter! my friends sent me some in the mail and I am now eating some on a piece of toast and I am the happiest girl ever!!!
eep have to run off to mail some packages before the post office closes!
Hope to share more soon! I can not wait for all the tests to be done. Get some sleep for me you all.
much <3 and many hugs!
Hope you are all well. Any great adventures to report! I am falling behind on reading everyone's journals! sorry
>.< too much work here at the moment. <3 <3 <3
