I think this should be interesting to say the least. Besides if all else fails it can be looked at as a learning experience and grow from it . Yup that's my 2 cents.
This could be interesting, as long as you don't look like you're aping Playboy and its Playmate of the Year. Playing up the contest aspect is probably good in that respect. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
I'm not a fan Reality TV but I will totally watch since more than haft of the girls are some of favorites on the site already!
Just hoping that it will show that the site in the way that most members see it... as a community!
this depresses the hell out of me. you're commoditizing the very thing you supposedly hold dear. the idea that one woman could represent SG is nonsense, and contravenes the entire point of the enterprise. and it gets you what, exactly? what's the strategic vision here?
i've been in the film industry for ... awhile. This should not be pitched as a competition, nor does that even seem like a 'Suicide Girl' thing. Competition??? If you want to make a reality show, it should be about the girls, not who is the best or who should 'represent'... The girls and the site are what makes it cool. Different, smart, not typical, but not different. Individual. Real. (mostly). This is the first comment I have ever posted. Member since 2005.
Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. Whether intentional or not, it felt hugely contrived, like the set-up for most reality TV shows. The 'female rivalry' set up, the shy one, the bitchy one, the saucy one, the 'will they, won't they' potential romance, the one with the sad story who you instantly want to route for (not trivialising anything anyone went through) made it feel like 101 other programs with a few tattoos thrown in for good measure. Which is kinda not what SG is about right? So, although I'm sure there are many formats in which SG could translate to television, I'm glad this wasn't it!
