Hello there!
Everything has been swell lately. Not too much to report....
I saw Elvis Costello perform live and it was amazing, everyone should go, best show ever. seriously.
I am looking for new curtains or window coverings but can't figure out what I should get. Everything just seems pretty boring, I don't know.
Went to Portland and had a fabulous time even though it was raining the whole time I was there. I miss the rain and the city so much.
That is it really. Promise to post something more exciting soon.

Hello cats and kittens!
I am so excited that Vh1 has given us a shot at bringing our Burlesque show to TV .
I will be at all three of the castings Vegas, NY and LA and can't wait to meet everyone and see all of the incredible talent out there.
Also super excited about our new comic book coming out this Spring!

Home safe and sound and now getting back into the swing of things.
New office, new year, and new underwear! Let's hope 2011 is full of awesome.
SG's 10 year is coming up this fall.
It is hard to believe a decade has nearly passed. 10 years ago at this time I was working in a corporate hell hole but at least had a steady job, not like a lot of friends, even if it was kind of sucking the life out of me. I gave it all up a few months later, moved back to my hometown, and put faith in myself and that I would figure out something new. A decade later here we are...
I think I should trust in myself more often. Maybe that will be my new year's resolution.

My Starbucks dependence is back. Damn you egg nog. Gingerbread biscotti you will be my downfall. Why are you so good and why can ONLY Starbucks get it right? The treats are amazing don't get me wrong but the thing I can't get enough of is the manufactured warmth and holiday cheer piped into Starbucks. It makes me all warm and fuzzy, huddling over a steamy cup of awesome while the grumpy barista has to say things like "Peppermint mocha, and eggnog latte Happy Holidays" while the Vince Guraldi Peanuts song plays over the sonos and the air is thick with steamy sweet cinnamon. The feeling last even when the hobo is peeing on the sidewalk out front (oh Hollywood Blvd. you quaint little hamlet, I hope you never change.)
If I post in a syrupy, caffeinated, sugar fueled stupor for the next few weeks, blame the bucks.
I might need twelve steps in February.

Classic Set of the Day:
Mary - Sleeping
I can not believe that I have had the pleasure of shooting Mary for almost 10 years. I think she just gets more gorgeous every year. Mary was an acquaintance I had known for a few years before starting SuicideGirls. When I started shooting this pin-up project I asked her and she agreed even though she hadn't modeled before she was always up for an adventure. We shot this set one late summer afternoon in my bedroom in Portland. We laughed and had a lot of fun chatting about life and I snapped pictures the whole time. You can see some videos shot that day here
When I looked at the images we shot that day I knew that we had created something special but had no idea that 10 years later we would be shooting her 29th pin-up photo set on http://suicidegirls.com
I love Mary, she is one of my very favorite girls to shoot. It is always a super fun adventure shooting her whether we are dodging looky-loos at tide pools in Hawaii or gossiping with Roza in my friends back yard. She is always up for anything. I hope we shoot 29 more sets together.

This is SuicideGirls love letter to Belle and Sebastian. NSFW
I have been a HUGE Belle and Sebastian fan since my best friend put "The State I'm In" on a mix CD we played incessantly on a cross country road trip.
When their new album Write About Love came out and had a song called "Suicidegirl" on it, I had a complete fan girl moment which indie rockers are supposed to be too cool for.
When I told the other girls we were all so honored that we decide we had to do something to let them know how much we loved it. Carrina, Cheri and I got together with Mike Marshall who made our other movies and created our video ode to Belle and Sebastian.
