Cookie making was very fun!

I made macaroons, which are ridiculously easy, so then I made them into home made almond joys. yum! who knew the microwave made melting chocolate chips so easy, double boiler be damned.

chocolate chip oatmeal, my Dad's version, the key is to add a half cup of applesauce to the quaker oats recipe to keep the cookies moist.

Also toffee nut crisps. recipe off the package of heath bar pieces + add nuts.

I had these grand ambitions of getting fancy recipes from Bon Apetite and Martha Stewart but the recipes that came on the the ingredients proved to be excellent choices, with some minor modifications.

Thank you to everyone who posted a recipe I will try them all out in the coming months.

Also very exciting 48 SG sets in 48 hours this weekend!

awesome. recipesource also has some great cookie recipes...everything from cookbook copied stuff, to user submitted ones. and an easy double boiler method is to just take a small pot of water, and put a mixing bowl with the chocolate in it on top. a lot of people think you need special equipment to melt chocolate...it's rare restaurants use anything but just a pot, some water, and a mixing bowl.

I haven't been making anycake type things but I've been eating lots. The hotel I work in has afternoon tea every day with lots of yummy cake mmmmmm! Hope you have a wonderful new year xx
