I just dropped my son off at his first day of high school. I got him into a program which is set up for double credit, their boast is 90% of their students have an associates degree before they have their high school diploma. I really hope he does well. The other bonus for him is there are 250 kids in this program and only 50 boys. The rest are all girls! I had to drop off his paperwork and saw all of the kids lined up. SOOOoooo many girls and all of them were very pretty. I have to start worrying I know it! With those odds I have fear I will be a grandma before I'm 35. Oh I hope I have taught him well, the plus side of this is his school is walking distance from a Planned Parenthood too so I hope he makes use of their services if he needs them. Anyway, exciting day for him. I hope it goes alright, he looked so lost but I had to resist the urge to be the overbearing mom and I just told him to stand around with the other kids until he figured out where to go and I left.

wow- that's got to be exciting and nerve-wrecking at the same time. my daughter's barely one year old. I couldn't imagine her in high school, though I know it happens much quicker than we ever expect.

wow poor little puppies and poor mom, that is a sad story, I wonder why the mom ate one of them, but I'm so glad 3 of them lived, how is the mom doing? you are a hero for helping that one little puppy breath.

Your vet doesn't sound very nice, he should have tried to help you anyway.

I hope your son does well there and I hope he doesn't try to sex it up with every girl he meets.

I can't image that your son is as old as my brother. Does he know how amazingly cool his mother is? love

had to read about your pups...you stayed so calm. I hope she does ok and I hope all the puppies stay healthy as well.
Him going to HS must have been bad enough let alone thinking about becoming a grandma. He will figure out his way must have been tough.

Sounds like he's entering a very cool program. Not to mention the fringe benefits.

I can only hope to get my son into a program like that. Sounds like a great opportunity for him.
I'm sure he had to listen to a barage of " Dude was that your mom? She's hot!!" biggrin
