Oh yeah. This has been the worst day so far, but I've been out in -40 and you do NOT want to do that. They will make an announcement on the news saying that frostbite will set in in about 30 seconds, and to cover all parts of your body or else stay indoors. It's scary, but that's what the underground city is for!
I would also suggest investing in good long underwear (which you can get at The Bay in the "intimates" department) and lottttttts of body lotion and chapstick.
Yeah! And in Quebec city, it's even colder!!! Temperature feels like -32°C!!!
That's winter
But in March and April, it starts warming up and in May, you know, it starts being beautiful and warm and really nice! So in about 8 weeks, it's gonna feel better outside!
You know what you can do? Sign up at Zip.ca and they're gonna ship the dvds directly to your door so you don't even have to get outside to rent a movie and stay warm and in your PJ at home!
It's the first time in my life I deal with this weather, exactly like you and it's so weird.
But I just came back from the hot bath and outdoor swimming pool at la cite and for 4 dollars it worth it. It's a good way to fight the cold.
Now I feel so relax lying in my warm bed.
Will you be at videographe tomorrow? We can have lunch/a coffee together, I'd like to see you!
somtimes i wish i lived by the beach...i don't like swimming and i burn crazy fast but i just love the warmth..i live in the mountains so it's pretty different. im sure your hair looks great no matter what!
wow, that's crazy! do what my stepmum does - fly between canada and australia every year to have an endless summer!
hope life is good besides the cold, best wishes to you xox jen
I work mainly in TV; that's where the $$$ at.
leaves me time for personal projects (fiction). I did travel shows, documentaries and teenager shows. that's what I won the award for... ADN X, a documentary serie aimed towards youth. but it's in french, airing on TéléQuébec.
so you are from Melbourne? I have a good friend there. she's cool.
here's a film that I made that caused quite a lot of stir when it was broadcasted on the CBC... people have no sense of humor.
