Wow. What a great idea. One thing, though: How do you get the sleeper's permission to use their image? Do you let them know of your intent beforehand or afterward?
you don't need permission if you are in a public space, and you don't need a model release if they are not actually selling a product, just think of all the shots sold to publications over and over from the Vietnam war, do you think as someone got their arm shot off they had time to give permission. It's photojournalism.
Holy shit, I just read your blog about kids stuff.
You are totally right in every way.
It's exactly why I broke up with a girlfriend of 5 years awhile back. Don't do something you're not ready for. It's not fair to the child.
Deciding to have children before seriously considering and accepting the consequences is exactly why there are so many children of single parents today. Children that don't have opportunities for a great life because their parents didn't think it through beforehand.
I don't want to do that to my kids. If I ever have them. I'm not against it, I just want to be somewhat ready for it.
Great little piece. there was a time a few yrs ago that i would travel every sunday night back home and fall asleep studying /reading because i was so exhausted from the weekend's activities. You would have gotten some great shots then. More than once i woke up with drool on myself, and my chem text books halfway down the aisle. Oh the wonders of public transit.
