ahhh, the joys of drunk thinking and of the the ones who only loosen up when they do dink. Working in a bar for years , you see that all the time, people that only talk to you when they drink, or only look or talk to you when they're loaded....I love them when they talk to you when they are sober, and love talking to when they drink,,,,those are the ones I trust. have a good morning

I get what you mean about the three types of drunk folk, and I know way too many people who try to be everything to everyone, and everyone's best friend.

It's wearying being around them, because they siphon out everything from you, and never give back anything but the energy they've sponged off of you.

Anyway, I just started this journal posting thing myself, and it seemed fitting to me to add a comment here, when your SG pictures were the first I... anyway, I'm sure you've heard the rest of that before.

However, the powers that be have sent legions of sloppy drunks, as obstacles, to block the path... Or something like that. But then, this is London, it IS the weekend, and I'm the visitor, so there ya go, all's well!

It's certainly easier to talk when you don't have to open your mouth, or perhaps when you don't have to worry about what comes out.

What I've grown tired of are people who use drink/being drunk as an excuse and a cover... propagators and victims of a false mythology...

I love the introspection one gets with a good drunk. I tend to waiver between social butterfly and wall flower. You learn a lot in both roles. Generally, I just don't go out.

It always made me sad that your profile page said "Mary does not keep a journal on the site", and I'm really really glad you changed your mind and decided to start letting us know a bit about the person behind the incredible image you've built up by doing some of the most incredible sets over the years. I'm sure a lot of people had wondered or guessed at what kind of personality you had, what you were into or whatever and it will be interesting to see how close at all any of us came.

i enjoyed your seemingly intoxicated philosophizing. i know what you mean about the different types of people and how they are percieved while out having a good time. sometimes it may be tough for a self concious person to simply let themselves go in order to naturally enjoy themselves. good times are good times though. hope you are having one.

id say if the furball is demanding attention then you should devote time to it instead of something less important like sleep

When Baudelaire asks us to "be drunk all the time" he's not telling us to be pretentious asses. He's saying take that spirit in and make it your own. Strip away pretense and get naked. See if people can take it. some can.

I'm with you in the watching...I tend to sit in the corner and watch everyone elses interaction, quietly getting buzzed...haha...
