i'm starting a new 365-day self-portrait project on march 1. i chose that date because it is the day my live-in girlfriend leaves for six months+ of traveling, so it'll mark a new chapter in my life. i started my last 365 day project the day i got out of an incredibly negative relationship, and in hindsight i really appreciate that those 365 photos are a story of my journey away from that dark place. i want my next 365 day project to be a journey too.

i've undergone a lot of personal development change in the last couple years. i just caught a glimpse of the person i was in 2008 (thanks internet) and i miss that girl! i am so uptight now in comparison. uptight and negative where i used to be relentlessly, recklessly optimistic. i shall work on that.

but before i work on that, i have to write a paper. i'm comparing three FIFA world cup 2010 ads (budweiser swap, coke dancing, nike write the future) and talking about what they say about globalism. i find it interesting, so... there you go.

I think I might start a 365 with you. I never complete them as we've talked about before... maybe by starting one at the same time as someone else I'll be able to finally complete one.

Where do you store your pictures for the 365 again? Flickr?

I tried to do a 365 and was doing a pretty good job until I lost a couple days worth of photos about a month in and quit as a result. It it still pretty rewarding to look back at that one month, though. I'll have to try again sometime soon.

i hope you'll share some of those fotos and upcoming burst of optimism

both rin and i have commented recently on our crabbiness, which i hope will pass with the winter coulds

but i'm not sure sun alone will be enough

given the burdens i choose to carry in my heart, head and shoulders

since ive met you, i think i can very easily say this. you have constantly improved your life. you are far more full of smiles, joy and love then before. you light up rooms with laughter the two of you together is just too adorable to experience.

as your lady departs, if you want someone to hang out with. im always down.
i also wont put any moves on you. unless you want me to...

we can have non sexual cuddles, wine, dancing, djarums & cooking sessions.

Sorry to hear that your girlfriend is going traveling, and about the start of your last 365. They are a good project for you, if nothing else for outfit reference. Hope the paper went well, what class is it for?
