going to sleep early after listening to a mix playlist i've been putting together for months.

contemplating the strange thing that my life has become, and thinking about the people i know, and love, and want to know for a long time. evaluating my priorities. it's a good night, and a quiet one.

i'm still figuring so much out, about myself, and other people, and the world. i know i probably will be for the rest of my life. at least, i hope so.

summer for sea change.
i suppose i'm experience a re-evaluation of certain relationships in my life - both animate and inanimate. objects are suddenly less sacred and reduced to their intrinsic material value, and now i see them as forms. beauty is not an end in and of itself. there's got to be more than that - and i plan on finally becoming the destroyer after so many years of playing the creator.
i hope you find what you are looking for, as painful as the search may be - let it form you in all ways. transience is inevitable yet in your control. but i think you already know that.

you know whats funny, i read a report about how plants are sentient, and communicate with each other. they proved it in a labratory. the communication was only effective among plants of the same gene seed, or original plant.

The birds in my current journal are Pelicans. The are a common shore bird here, along with Seagulls. They're not too shy . . . I've had them come and sit in the boat while we're coming in the inlet! We used to hand-feed them left over bait!

So, big things on your horizon? Despite the uncertainty that inevitably creates, there's always the wonder of something new . . . another adventure, etc. Can you store things with a family member? My grandmother was from Montreal! So I'm part Canuk! tongue

Whatever the future holds for you . . . . will be amazing . . . . because you have the spirit to let it be! smile

I'm definitely always questioning and learning. I had to make a commitment to myself to stop being so hard on myself though. There won't be anything left to experience if my body gives out! So I'm not searching out the hard lessons anymore. The lessons are still learned, just in a different manner.

Moving... confused I'll be moving to Van soon. Just watched your video blog about university in Montreal. Exciting! smile

being in that state of continual learning, continual self betterment...is very important. it's a driving force of making art as well.

stagnation and complacency are devastating to art...and life. so i'm glad you're continually reassessing. it's important.

and that sign is awesome!!!

"an unexamined life is not worth living" and yet we "cannot step into the same river twice" surreal

I'm hoping you'll be really happy in Montreal (Concordia?) and find a new energy for the things and people you love - what's meant to follow you won't be left behind
