yeah. good overwhelming. awesome.
last night was the vegan pizza competition. ten pizzas. i won the "second piece" category with my "tuscan afternoon" pizza: garlic white sauce, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, fried mushrooms, pine nuts, and vegan "chicken" seitan. absolutely amazing and so very greasy.
other amazing pizzas: veggie samosa pizza with mango chutney, tofu jerky smoky surprise pizza with pineapple and carmelized onions, "thaitanic" thai curry pizza with almond (not peanut) sauce, pesto garden pizza, banana-avocado portland special pizza, anjou pear with chocolate tomato sauce pizza, and oh so many more.
all on a homemade whole wheat crust whipped up by yours truly. (13 cups of flour. no joke. i made so much dough.)

today, i moved. four girls, two mini-vans, one car, lots of heavy lifting and lots of coffee.

tonight, i'm having a goodbye party at the old place. of montreal blasting from the living room as i write. local homebrew english grapefruit beer in a keg. people i love coming to dance dance with me.

this whole week is my last full week this semester. projects due, finals to write. got a visual project on gender performativity (i'm doing a series of photographs based on judith butler's work) due wednesday.

and i haven't even been reading the emails from my workplace. no time.

life is so, so, so good.
