i want to spend my summer painting and making music, not working so i don't have to get another student loan in september. i want to spend my summer sipping lemonade in the backyard of my beautiful new house, not sitting in a fluorescent-lit office with no window and a glitter tapestry of a racecar driver. i want to spend my summer giggling with my best friends, cooking, feeling the sun on my freckles - not stressing about money.

speaking of summer, these pictures were taken in the dead of winter, on a very bad day.

malloreigh - bad days by the la-la-lovely lavonne.

and hey, while you're here, go look at sunshine's new set too. her skirt is so short, it makes me salivate.

i'm posting this from school. i hope nobody's looking at my screen...

what would be your ideal way to spend the next few months? how are they actually going to play out? do you think you can find a compromise?

Love the new set!

I'd love to be travelling all summer long but of course I need to raise money before, so I'll just work the first month of my semester break and I'll be travelling the other two. I'll most probably spend one month in Spain, not sure yet where I'm going to go in the second month.

Your idea of how to spend the summer, sounds serene! Ideal . . and idyllic!

The warmth of the sun on my freckles . . . . you and me both!

Back to reality . . . I need to find a job before I lose everything! Ugh! This is sick . . . I really don't want to work anymore!

Stress . . . . Yup! Got Some!

ps . . knowing you makes me happy! blush

I'm looking to spend most of my summer on the beach. I've started looking for work, well, it's more like i am waiting for a job to find me. If the right job doesn't find me, i'll get a place on the beach and spend the summer there.

I would love to spend my summer working at a new job, in a new city, in a new state, near a beach. Being able to converse with friends, enjoy a cigar, and play some golf.

New job is about 50%. If it does go that way then the rest is likely to follow.

I like your idea of how to pass the summer--and especially the part about not having to hold some shitty job to pay the bills. Art, music, lemonade...

Me? I'd like to spend the summer going for long walks in the city, the country, and spending the bulk of my time pounding out my new novel--The Comical, Tragical & Sometimes Sordid Adventures of Bellwether Balustrade--again, without the anxiety of a job or, as the case may be, looking for a job, which is somehow worse than actually having one. Drinks and dinners with friends.

Ideally, though, I'd be back in France. The summers there were fantastic; some of the best times of my life.

Oh, and did I mention that your new set is absolutely gorgeous?

we all wished we could spend summer like that... sure I've spent summers like those (or almost) but that explains why I'm somewhat broke... but if I went with school with you, I sure wished I could be looking at your screen tongue

*goes off to look at the set*

simply beautiful like always smile

As for the next months... not sure, I wished I could find a job but at the same time seeing the nice weather, I'd love to go out biking everyday and just enjoy life without worrying about anything biggrin

Take care ! kiss

I'm totally jonesing for another road trip. And a retreat - maybe five weeks alone in a cabin. However, if I'm particularly lucky I think I'll be building the cabin, not doing a retreat in it, so maybe next summer... Sigh.

I very much would love to spend the summer the same way you would like to! In fact, I have to compromise. I get to set my own hours and decide on my own workload, so I am going to take things a little easier this year than last year.....less paid commercial photo gigs and more fun photo gigs, move travel....until the money runs out....

I woke up to a lovely blue sky and a bright yellow sun. If that's not a sign that i need to get to the beach soon, i don't know what is.

Love your new set - it is intimate and delicate in a rare way.

I, luckily, will be painting all summer and hanging out with our mutual friend. Ideally, we'll be traveling lots, showing and selling lots of good, real art, and visiting nice people around the planet like you. smile

May your best dreams always come and be true, Malloreigh. love

you are a beautiful woman, at the risk of sounding cliche I will not tell you how subtly perfect you look in 'bad days'.

Building the cabin does sound great, doesn't it? The problem is all the paperwork you have to do first. At least we have the septic system and the water system in, though... :')

But I really can't wait to set up a lawn chair on the porch and enjoy the view, after it's done.
