THOSE OF Y'ALL WHO'VE GOT THE SG MAGAZINE, CHECK OUT PAGE 13. that is all. (oh yeah, if you haven't got it, get it. it's rad.)

so, my computer is... um... back at the shop. sigh! but i need it for my new job on friday. yay! i shot a set for my girl nikala last month and it just got rejected the other day. sadly i am not a people-photographer. when i got into photography i really thought i would be but truth told i much prefer landscapes and objects and shit. how boring!

i can't find the photos for the set in my outbox on gmail. crap! someone send them to me. elsewise i'll have to wait to get the white queen back to post 'em. and here i was going to put up a really interesting post.

oh well. here are some photos i have on the box at work.

Jonny, Alisa and Mike at Christmastime! Alisa is pretty which is why I downloaded this picture. She'll never see me say this so I will also say: I would hit it.

Watch as I switch from all-lowercase to proper capitalisation in one fell swoop!

Woohoo, look how in-shape I am! No more ribs, I am ALL MUSCLE. Also see my bellybutton lint, torn underpants, and the weird rash I have developed on my right-side ribcage area. It's itchy sometimes. People have suggested it is a reaction to my laundry soap (possible) or a heat rash (unlikely).

A bunch of unrelated questions...

What do you do to keep in shape?
Do you have a best friend or best friends? Do you consider it important to have "best" friends?
Do you think you're ready to settle down at this point in your life or do you still have lots of whippersnappering to do?
What are you most looking forward to this summer (Northern Hemmers) or winter (Southern Hemmers)?

To answer your unrelated questions:

I'm not exactly in shape.

Best friends are the ones that stick around after the shit clears. It is important to have one, somewhere in the world, I think.

I'm not planning on settling down with anyone, but I do love the state that I'm in, both geographically and mentally.

And I'm looking forward to swimming, not wearing three layers of sweaters, and not paying hundreds of dollars for the gas bill.

HA!, I didn't even notice the lint or the torn underpants 'til you mentioned it.

I'm not much a "keep in shaper" but I run, my best friend is my best friend because he's the friend that's the best. whippersnappering all the way! -fuck summer.

My first few weeks of unemployment started off with me sleeping until 12 and pretty much doing nothing the rest of the day. But i should realized that i have a unique opportunity before me. Collecting unemployment (which is nothing to brag about) and getting paid to go to school. So i best take full advantage of it, with the occasional lazy day here and there. I still manage to get in a few good hours of WOW. smile
See i can't listen to 80's glam rock while running, cause i've always been the guy that wanted the girl that got the popular guy. Christ, i'm Duckie.

What do you do to keep in shape?
Run and watch what i eat. (my lil bro wants me to stop eating meat)

Do you have a best friend or best friends?
I don't have a best friend, but i have alot of good ones.

Do you consider it important to have "best" friends?
Depends on the type of person you are. I've always thought that the most important relationship anyone can have is with themselves. If that makes any sense.

Do you think you're ready to settle down at this point in your life or do you still have lots of whippersnappering to do?
If i found i would totally be ready.

What are you most looking forward to this summer (Northern Hemmers) or winter (Southern Hemmers)?
Haven't thought about that yet.

To answer your question . . . . . during my entire professional career, It has always been critically important to be on my game . . and not lose or miss details. This "pressure to perform" can make you nuts! To be good at something . . you really have to focus, and be in control . . or you won't be good, and you won't get ahead.
i guess that's where it comes from. I also care way too much, what people think of me, and how they evaluate or value me. So . . . basically . . . I'm nuts? surreal

Alisa is very cute! Nice smile! And yes, I would too! wink

I love your tummy . . . and your tummy fuzz!

I'm not in the shape I used to be in . . . . need to do something about that!

I've always said . . . if you're blessed with two or three truly good friends in your lifetime . . . . you're very fortunate indeed!

I've been settled down most of my adult life . . . sometimes I just wanna go bat shit!

ps . . what magazine?

You ARE looking in shape. Holy crap. I am jealous. Of course, you worked to get there...

What do you do to keep in shape?
- Ride my bike, walk lots and use my step machine, although at this point it's not so much "keep" in shape as desperately trying to "get" in shape.

Do you have a best friend or best friends? Do you consider it important to have "best" friends?
I have a couple of best friends for the first time in my life. I never considered it important but probably because I never had any. Right now it is very important to me and I am sad to be leaving so many behind.

Do you think you're ready to settle down at this point in your life or do you still have lots of whippersnappering to do?
I'm torn. A bit of both? I'm ready to settle down and have a permanent home I can return to but I need to be free to be able to whippersnapper when I want to.

What are you most looking forward to this summer (Northern Hemmers)?
Being in vancouver for the first time. Lazy days on the beach. Riding my bike in the sun. Making new friends.

xx.

What do you do to keep in shape?
I go to the gym and do cardio and listen to podcasts about Soccer. Yes. Quite the geek.

Do you have a best friend or best friends? Do you consider it important to have "best" friends?
Yes, but I don't call them that. Everyone needs close friends.

Do you think you're ready to settle down at this point in your life or do you still have lots of whippersnappering to do? No. I've just started. I'm settled in that I have a house that I own, but I want to enjoy life and just know I can come back to the security.

What are you most looking forward to this summer (Northern Hemmers) or winter (Southern Hemmers)? Time with friends. We're going camping as well! ROCK!

Those do be some rock-hard abs, yar.

What do I do to keep in shape? Erm, not enough. Not nearly enough.

Best friends thing... I think it's important to have close friends. The term "best friend" is, to me, a way of rank-ordering the people closest to you, which seems crass. I actually once hurt the feelings of two close friends by referring to a "best friend." Bad mojo.

Settle down? I'm fracking 30 and don't think I'm done whippersnappering. Which, incidentally, just became my new favourite word.

This summer? Probably seeing my show go on a four-city tour. Sadly I don't get to go for the first two cities, but still.

What do you do to keep in shape?
I dance and swim. My passion and one of my hobbies, so no "Oh no, it's time for the gym *sigh*" - moments.

Do you have a best friend or best friends? Do you consider it important to have "best" friends?
I have a best friend, but he is my boyfriend as well. It's not important what you name them, its important to have them.

Do you think you're ready to settle down at this point in your life or do you still have lots of whippersnappering to do?
Yes, I'm consider myself ready to settle. I've had to many weird relationships, and I think I found the one I want to be with for a loooooong time. We're looking for a house together, we have a lovely bunny and I don't want to date other men or women. I'm fine now, with a proper relationship.

What are you most looking forward to this summer (Northern Hemmers) or winter (Southern Hemmers)?
Sun! I've seen enough rain and snow, so it's time to hang out with friends, in the sun. With wine, music and just loads of fun.

Your belly button lint is wicked cute.

Q1. I walk, a ton. Mostly out of neccesity but it still counts as excercise! I longboard, though I'm a little wary of busting out the board here in Van. There are so many hills, and I've been known to have some epic huge spills, even on flat ground! I also love to rock climb. It keeps me pretty toned, when I actually go regularly.

Q2. I have close friends, but I think I'm still searching for that one 'best' friend. To me its pretty important to have those few people that you can really count on, and you know they can count on you.

Q4. I feel like I've just begun the whippersnappering! I can't even see settling down in the distant future. I feel like I could be young and crazy forever. I have so much to discover! I want to travel, and live in other cities, and do things that make old and boring people say "you're crazy!"

Q5. I'm positively wiggling with anticipation for summer! Wearing nothing but skirts and little tanktops, bare feet, sunshine and beaches... walking around in the evening because its so warm and lovely. Oh I am such a summer child. &hearts

(gee, I think this is the most I've written on this site in ages!) smile

Do you consider it important to have "best" friends?
nope. i think it's just fine to have acquaintances and good friends.

Do you think you're ready to settle down at this point in your life or do you still have lots of whippersnappering to do?
i'm ready. but i'll always be crazy and do exciting things. that won't change.

What are you most looking forward to this summer (Northern Hemmers) or winter (Southern Hemmers)?

"Fracking" would be the futuristic swearword of choice for Battlestar Galactica (the current one).

I take a fair amount of kidding for my fondness of sci-fi swear words. But I'm comfortable with it.

I have always been a very determined person. A lot of the pressure I feel is self-imposed. I guess that's just what I have to do to succeed.

Does it get easier? I think once you establish a certain work ethic and personal disciplines, it becomes more "practiced" and therefore more acceptable to you . . . so yes, it seems to get easier.

You have to be careful . . . to find a balance between work and fun. You know the old addage - "all work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy"? Its true!

ha ha . . double entendre . . . all work and "no play"? ha ha ha
