Traveling is the most fucked up shit ever. Okay, so I really want to go to Portland from February 17th to 25th because most of my friends will be away for spring break and I figured it'd be awesome to a) travel by myself and b) meet all the Portland girls.

So first, I needed my passport to register for the trip. Fuck! I lost it. I spent days searching my room in vain... but positive thinking helped me find it! I swear. Anyway, so I finally found it, and it expired like TWO weeks ago. Fuck me! Anyway, it's going to take me at least a month to get a new one.

Shit cock, I'm not even joking, I was so stoked for this trip and now, even if I DO get to go eventually, I'll still be bored out of my skull over spring break. So lame. Yeah, if I'm traveling by land or sea (which I would've been - Amtrak is nice and cheap and it's only 8h travel) I can use my birth certificate, but guess what my genius self did? About two years ago I left it in my pocket when I washed my pants. I had misplaced my driver's license at the time. It is now shreds of paper. Apparently they'll reissue you one right away if you bring in the shreds of paper, but uh, I kind of threw them out. Two years ago.

So really. I mean I don't drop the ball very often anymore but I sure did this time. Fuckers. I'm going to bust my ass trying to get both a birth certificate and a passport in record time so I can still go, but we'll see how the cookie crumbles. I wish Montreal was train-able from here, but it'd take me a fucking week to get there, and flying is just too irresponsible AND too expensive.

I'm craving dosas. No kidding.

Here is a giant photo of my face. Gaze deep, deep into my pores.

I like your pores.
They should replace planes with airships.
Montreal should be closer to BC.

you need to get yourself a piece of nice paper, like water color paper or so. Fold that shit up, put it in a pocket of something white and wash/dry it a few times with bleach. Then bring in the folded up soon to fall to shreds if you so much as breathe on it hunk of very washed paper and ask for a new birth certificate, sorry it ran with a load of whites and is all messed up. Smile and say please and hopefully a new birth certificate will be handed over forthwith.

You gotta fuck it up good though, so when they try to unfold it it will turn to confetti.

There are places in the US that can get you a new passport with 24 hours. Especially if you already have an expired one. While that may be no use to you in Canada, it may be worth looking into to see if such places exist up there as well.

Just as long as you're here for my going away party on the 16th, that's all that matters.

Plus Lavonne will be here!

Yeah man, what about me? What if I make chili? I swear that's the only reason you hang out with me!

haha

Anyways, make sure you apply for your passport in person, otherwise it takes extra time. I'm sure you knew that already though.

i'm with dorwayin on that one. And if that doesn't work, there's gotta be some way to figure it out... Like you just gotta talk to the right authority about it and explain to them how your a silly yutz and you basically lost your identity...

or you could take advantage of this moment to simply disappear off the radar and be a phantom forever.

I know in Alberta you can get a birth Cert. fast tracked at a registry place in 3 business days for around 70-80 bucks thanks to privatization. I needed one last year.
