I made an attempt at taking a picture of myself today since I (finally) got my hair cut. This is the only one that I actually liked; my smile looked so fake in all the other shots.

(I look sad, don't I?)

I didn't really change the style...but my natural colour is definitely growing in! I look like such a "normal" girl these days!

I took a much needed study/worry/life break on Saturday night and went out to see Bruno with a friend of mine. I needed a good laugh, and that movie served me well! It's definitely not for everyone, it's pretty raunchy! I don't think that I've ever seen another film on the big screen that has featured as many cock shots as this one did!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I still can't get over that focus group video. I had one of those moments where I was laughing pretty hard, and then I was like:

(cock fills entire screen)

(laughing ceases for a moment in awe at the shear bizarreness of this scene)

"Whoa, that's a big cock."

...

(cock does a dance, and then talks)

"WTF?????"

...

*eats Twizzler*

The other night I sat back down on my couch after getting up to do...who knows what...to a scene that pretty much sums up what I've been doing the past couple of weeks. It's also a good example of what happens when you have ADD. I had to take a picture:

zoom image

1. Studying.
2. Far too much Pokemon DS, which was clearly distracting me from #1.
3. Text Messaging.
4. Watching TV on and off.
5. Massaging my scar (as instructed by Dr. Sexy-Pants) like ALL day with this expensive cream (not part of the Doctor's instructions, but it looked lonely in my medicine cabinet). It doesn't seem to make much of a difference.
6. Drinking a ton of water and juice. Fuck it's hot in this apartment!
7. Measuring tape....don't ask.
8. ...uh....more DS gaming besides Pokemon that I care to admit to. wink

This week has been very busy with preparations for school...I will know if I'm accepted into a program probably (hopefully) within the next couple of weeks.

Keep your fingers crossed for me people!

Happy Canada Day!!

JUNE 24, 2009 @ 02:14 PM | 6 COMMENTS

I've been having some awfully bad dreams lately, which are probably directly related to the events documented in my last journal entry.

They are all anxiety dreams, one re-occuring being about large green snakes that are trying to attack me, and I can't kill them no matter what I try (I keep trying to cut their heads off with a shovel, or stab them with something). I've had 2 others where I'm being chased by other animals with huge sharp teeth, and no matter what I do, I can't seem to block them (behind doors, etc.), kill them, or get away from them. I usually wake up just before I'm about to get bit...fun huh?

These have been disturbing my sleep so badly in the past week, I've been having trouble functioning normally. I've been having enough trouble getting to sleep, and now these are in the way of me staying asleep (besides the trouble that I've already had with that).

Last night...well...today seemed to be a break from these icky dreams, care of Zachary Quinto tongue I slept in far too late, but in doing so I ended up having a very lengthy and detailed triple X dream about my favourite celebrity (thank fack I can remember most of it) wink

...I owe it all to a thread that I was posting in last night which FORCED me *eh hem* to cough up a photo of him. I think that I'm going to take this as a sign that I need to be focusing on something good* before I go to sleep...which will hopefully change the outcome of what I dream about!

*Good: sexy men/women, cute fluffy animals, cake, Domo-kun

My surgery scar is starting to look "better"...and by that I mean that it's gotten more noticable and looks awesome! tongue

It started off so small, and now it's flattened out and gotten fat:

I just hope that no one thinks that it was a botched suicide attempt! I missed the vein completely...how embarassing. wink

I'm getting some more stuff together to sell on here. It's proven to be a fair bit better than e-Bay since it lacks the fees, and I don't have to worry about selling things for a whole lot of money for it to be worthwhile. I'm still out of work, mostly to focus on school, but I'm poor as fuck. Asking my parents for money all the time is stressing me out, so it would be nice to be bringing in some sort of income.

On a good (and final) note, Sylar has invaded my Wii:

wink

Edit: I posted a number of things in the SG Sales and Swap Meet Groups!!

As all the cool kids seem to be saying these days, fuck my life.

(sorry, no horrific and humorous anecdote...for now)
MAY 29, 2009 @ 02:45 PM

As promised (well, not exactly), here's my Anime North coverage (it's LOOOONG...you have been warned):

Thursday night I barely slept due to my fear of sleeping through my alarm (since I hadn't woken up to it in ages), and a long string of coughing fits.

Friday morning came too soon, but at least this was one of the few occasions that I actually got up and ready long before having to leave. Damn it felt good not to rush.

I called up my buddy to tell him that I was ready to go, but he had slept through his alarm tongue HA!

After he rushed his ass to get ready, we packed up the car and started our journey to pick up his girlfriend, and then make our way over to the land of geekery.

When we got there, we got our passes, and eventually met up with the rest of our hotel-mates.

Friday wasn't all that eventful. We did some shopping in the Dealer's room until we couldn't handle the grossness of that place anymore (someone had failed to adjust the air conditioning the necessitate that many people). We tried to plan our evening, but couldn't find all that many things that we wanted to go to.

Later that evening was our first trip over to the Yaoi room, which fortunately enough, was in our hotel. I was still sick, so I had my Hot Toddy in tow.

I was so out of it, and the drink was putting me to sleep, so I decided to head to bed early. I was still having coughing fits, so I finally just got up and grabbed the bottle of Jack Daniel's to take swigs from, which made the coughing go away for a little while, and put me to sleep. biggrin

Saturday started with me waiting for a couple of hours to gain access to the washroom. I finally got in and ready by...1:30p.m. surreal

It wasn't really a big deal besides the fact that the maid was pissed off that she had to wait to clean our room.

Again, there wasn't a whole lot that I wanted to go to on Saturday. We did a bit of shopping, which got me this...

zoom image

...fine piece of perversion.

I ended up at the Anime Music Video competition a bit later which was quite entertaining, though I think that the dramatic/sad/emo videos got me down a bit (damn mushy/sad stuff).

We went out for a nice big dinner at Jack Astor's a bit later so that we were prepared for the inevitable Saturday night drinking!

After dinner we returned to the hotel, and then I went with a couple of my friends/hotel-mates over to the J-Pop Dance for a while. They really tightened up security this year, cops and metal detectors...yeesh. I guess that after last year's incidents they had to so the dance wouldn't get canceled for good by the convention centre. Rumour has it that last year there were drug sales outside, someone set a garbage can on fire (the fire dept. showed up as I recall), and apparently someone reported getting sexually assaulted at the dance itself. Of course, none of this could have been prevented by metal detectors, so it seemed pretty pointless.

After the dance we headed back to the hotel room for some "refreshments" and more Yaoi. Apparently 3a.m. was the magical smut hour. They played the most explicit yaoi I've ever seen, it was actually pretty hilarious to see how the audience reacted. Oh, and if you wanna know, it was
Sensitive Pornograph. One of the girls in our group popped her "yaoi cherry" to this one...it won't be easily forgotten I'm sure wink

I went to bed afterward, but I was up having even more coughing fits that night (sorry roomies). I drank some of my now cold Hot Toddy, and eventually got to sleep. Arg.

Sunday morning I was supposed to join my buddy and his girlfriend for Trigun Donut Decorating (also a competition). I was just too tired, so I told them to leave my poor sick-ass in bed, and go on without me. I was sad to have missed it, but I really couldn't have handled eating all that sugar at that hour anyway. They came back in about an hour with their mounds of donut and icing, and had won the competition smile

We all packed up the cars, checked out from the hotel, and headed over to the Haruhi Suzumiya Dance Competition to see the ending. I captured this rather amusing video of all the competitors doing the dance at the very end...

For those of you that don't know the original, here it is:

After that we went to the Dealer's Room for one last look around, and a few final purchases. There wasn't a lot to do Sunday, so we went over to the charity auction for a while, and a couple of us broke off to watch the AMV competition again.

We all parted ways and headed home late that afternoon. I was exhausted.

Overall it was an o.k. weekend. I really didn't have as good a time as I normally do though. I'd blame it on getting older, but as I've seen, fandom is not limited to a younger age group. I guess that I'm just getting a whole pile of jaded, and kind of envious of the energy that all the younger fans seem to have.

As for the what I purchased...I got the entire series of Serial Experiments Lain for $20, and my boob mouse pad. I didn't have the money to buy a whole lot this year, but I think that my friends more than made up for that with all of their purchases wink

I know, it's the Friday following the convention...I've had a busy week so I haven't gotten a chance to post something about AN until now.

Geek Week

I visited Lucy with a friend on Saturday to go to the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, along with some much needed catching up and debauchery (I wish wink ).

For Mother's Day I had a nice steak dinner with the family followed by STAR TREK!! My entire family is geeky, and I love it.

(Happy Mother's Day! btw tongue )

I....bought the Star Trek drinking glasses from BK.

I've been playing Pokemon again and whoring out my Ditto for some mad Pokemon breeding action.

I finally finished Resident Evil 4 at about 4a.m. today, and started on the side missions this afternoon.

Aside from all that, I'm getting sick no thanks to johnlennon! IMMA CHARGIN' MAH LAZER!!!

I went to go see Neverending White Lights tonight with BinaryBitch. Apparently it was this big multi-band (5 or more) thing, so they didn't play until about 12:30...a.m. (WTF?). It was a great show though, there were a few other bands which I really enjoyed listening to.

We actually ended up getting in for free! We showed up around 6 p.m. since we thought that doors were at 7, and wanted some dinner beforehand (they were playing at a restaurant/bar/club/? venue). We walked into the place while they were still setting up, and apparently not serving food either. Hmm...well, we decided to just hang out until food/show time. They never asked us for the cover charge! I figure that they must have thought BinaryBitch was media since she was carting around the shiny camera and tripod. They also didn't say a word when we went up beside the stage, which they seemed to be guarding with security (2nd WTF?).

Don't worry, I supported the band by forking out a whole $20 for a t-shirt plus CD (WTF the 3rd??). So inexpensive! I haven't bought their CDs up until now because I haven't seen them for any less than $25 in stores, and they'd come close to that with shipping costs if I bought them online. Score!

We had to leave a bit early to go save my car from being ticketed (fucking bylaws). I did, however, get to hear my favourite song (and a bunch more) before leaving, not to mention all the other great bands that played.

Said favourite song (The Grace):

(If you think that it's lame, you can go eat a dick. Thanks.)

Yes, my life is so boring that I have to write a novel about a concert night, at 4 a.m.. Hey, it's better than playing WoW all night...or all day...every day *grumble*
