My new website has launched!!

Coded, photoshopped, and hosted by: Me! Here you will find an about me page, my portfolio, prints, contact information, and links to the various places that you can find me online. Have a look and let me know what you think (and if there are any boo-boos)!

I've also posted a bunch of new eBay auctions:

eBay Auctions

Aside from all this, I'm hard at work in night school! My first chemistry test is coming up on Tuesday, wish me luck!

I'm off to my parents' house for Thanksgiving this weekend! I've been on the go all week, so I'm looking forward to some rest, a big turkey dinner, and plenty of red wine to keep me happy wink

Have a great weekend everyone!!
OCTOBER 1, 2009 @ 10:57 PM

The past couple of weeks have been surprisingly busy for me, though I think that "keeping busy" is probably the best thing for me right now.

I did get myself a wee bit overwhelmed with school/lack of money/brain angries, but I seem to be alright now.

I'm finally starting to realize that it's not such a terrible thing to show my emotions in front of people. I've been pulling a Mr. Spock for far too long now. I figured out that even if you explain in fine detail to people how you're feeling, unless you actually look the part, they don't completely get it/believe you. It's understandable. When I'm talking like I'm reading from a text book when I'm talking about something that is very upsetting to me...well...how would you interpret that?

I started Chemistry class last week; we're finally getting into the swing of things this week. I didn't realize that my classroom was also going to contain students taking 3 other courses than my own (equaling about one hundred people in one not so big classroom), and that the teacher was going to be close to inaccessible (ya, only ONE teacher), but I'm working with it. The plus side to this is that I'm actually interested in the course content, which is a complete 360 from the way that I felt about ANY subject when I was in high school! It's refreshing to know that I'm starting to enjoying school stuff for once!

I went to see Evangelion 1.0 in theatres on Wednesday with one of mah buddies. It was fantastic, though I got to feeling quite nostalgic while watching it. I realized that I hadn't watched the original series in many many years, so when I got home after the movie, I watched Evangelion: Death and Rebirth, and then End of Evangelion. Yeesh, the things that went over my head when I was 15! At least I understood almost all of this time around wink

I don't know how I'm still conscious at this point. I've been up since 7:30am (which is fucking early for me), and I've been on the go ever since. Evangelion psychology stuff has cluttered my mind for most of the day as I was packaging up eBay items, and taking various excursions out of the apartment. Chemistry class finished off my long day tonight around 9:30pm, and I've pretty much been a couch potato ever since.

Tomorrow (well...today at this point) will be a full day of Biology class eLearning followed by some much needed Fallout 3/Scribblenauts/Pokemon Platinum time!

Believe it or not, I went an entire 2 weeks without Fallout 3 or Pokemon, so I have some catching up to do!

As for Scribblenauts, I just got the damn thing, so I had to make time for it! I love this game, and I recommend that you go play it...or Watch this video to see some of the more awesome things that you can do in the game:

PM me if you wanna exchange friend codes or somethin'. I also like to trade Pokey-mans, so you know...do that with me too wink

That's all for tonight because I'm soooo tired and need to sleep. I will leave you all with yet another Scribblenauts video which I found to be rather amusing in my over-tired/sleepy-silly state:

G'night!

Edit: Holy fucking shit, my nice (expensive) LCD monitor just died after I posted this blog (I'm writing this from a borrowed laptop, if you're wondering). All that appears is an extremely faint image. Switched to a VGA cable: FAIL. Tried it on a different computer: MORE FAIL.
Cock fuckity shit beans, I have the worst luck, and no backup monitor. frown

I've been reading this nerdy little web comic lately, xkcd, after it was recommended to me by a friend. I've been going through the archives for the past couple of weeks, but today I was linking the site to someone, and ended up reading the newest comic. It really hit close to home, and fits perfectly with my sense of humour, so I had to share it. I had a good laugh:

link

I think that's the only part of my life that I can actually find humorous at the moment. I'm not trying to sound like a huge downer, but things fucking suck donkey balls at the moment. I get the feeling that people sometimes think that I'm overreacting to my situation, but I'm pretty damn sure that I'm having these feelings for a very good reason.

I am still:
- out of money
- looking for work
- eating shit (figuratively) for something that happened months ago
- hoping that I don't have to move back in with my parents, even though I love them dearly

New stuff in an attempt to straighten out my life:
- signing up for night school (tomorrow!!)
- building a new website to advertise myself as a model, and to sell prints
- selling more random stuff on eBay
- trying to come up with a decent small business idea if working at McDonald's (or any other demeaning job) is my only option

Awesome things that are awesome and have briefly distracted me from donkey balls (i.e. my life):
- Hostage: A Love Story with Zachary Quinto. Besides the fact that this is funny and features ZQ ( love ), he threatens his fucking cak (yes, cak) with a gun. Gold.
- Scribblenauts is coming out tomorrow and I totally have it pre-ordered! Yay Visa!! surreal
- Fallout 3 just made it on to my favourite video game list. I can't play it nearly as often as I would like to, but if I'm not playing it, I'm certainly thinking about it. It's much nicer to think about roaming around a post-apocalyptic world than this one...how fucked up is that?
- Post Secret! I love these, they are inspiring and really enjoyable to read. I can't wait to get my hands on the hard cover books!
- Socializing. Nothing helps me more than to spend time with some good friends. As a bonus, I get out of the apartment for a few hours.

For those of you that still read my blarg (yes, blarg)...

YOUR MISSION:
Link me to some fucking funny images, videos, stories, whatever. You know, only if you want to of course wink

FanExpo was a blast! biggrin

For those of you that don't know already, this past weekend a number of Suicidegirls (myself included) were at a booth in the Rue Morgue Festival of Fear area of this convention held in Toronto!

This year we had Luscious, Archie, Vesta, Nymph, Sliver, Agy, Renna, Dixon, and of course, myself!

I was really only supposed to work at the booth on Friday, but I really wanted to be at the convention for Saturday and Sunday too, so I stayed for the entire weekend! I go to this con every year, so I didn't want to miss out on the main part of the weekend.

Photos!!

Luscious with her amazing zombie make-up on Friday!

Nymph, Archie, Vesta, Luscious, and Sliver.

Archie with...a cardboard Transformer. He used the pizza box on the front of his chest to store things... surreal

Archie and I with a dude cosplaying as Spike from Buffy.

This guy brought his SG coffee table book to get signed by Archie! A photo to commemorate the occasion wink

Luscious, Nymph, and I with Green Lanturn and his air-brush artist in the background. This guy was only wearing a thong!

Ah, I love it when people take photos for you and don't ask if you're ready. So, I look like a bit of a goof...but this is my only picture (currently) that I had taken with Emma Caulfield! The guy that took this photo took a couple more with his SLR, so hopefully I'll get those soon!

Here's my Anya figure that I had signed by Emma biggrin

More pretty ladies! Agy, Dixon, Renna, and Luscious!

Bruce Campbell!! The lighting at this convention is awful, so this was the best I could do with my camera.

Red and Jonny...these are the two that dressed up in wedding garb and Storm Trooper helmets last year. Apparently these costumes are based on cartoons that Jonny draws...they're pretty amazing!

This is me wearing Discotek's Steampunky flight helmet. Awesome. tongue

SWAG! A Nintendo DSi lanyard and SD card reader (which I got because I pointed out that I had hit Platinum status in Club Nintendo this year), a Watchmen button which Vesta was kind enough to give me, and the best one: a Watchmen Dr. Manhattan BLUE condom! I can have blue cock finally! Hahahaha

The last one was given to me (a few of them actually) by a guy that came up to our booth. We got on the topic of free con swag, and he reluctantly showed me those after telling me that he thought I was going to somehow be offended by such a thing (really???). After making sure that he was over the age of 18, I told him that I'd trade him one of my 4x6 prints if he could get me a bunch (of condoms...HA!). He only came back with 3 of them for me, but I made the trade regardless. I don't really know who got the better end of that deal! tongue

We managed to almost sell out of SG swag over the weekend, so Agy and I sold prints! Revprint brought me more Classic Girl print books, as well as a bunch of 8x12 prints (12x18 with the border) to sell, 2 of them being 3D! He also brought me 2 HUGE poster prints...I'm not sure of the exact dimensions, but they're larger than life-size! Of course, I kept one of them wink

I didn't end up making it out to any of the parties over the weekend, I was just too exhausted by the end of each day. I had to drive for an hour to get back home too, which also meant having to get up really early to drive to the con in the morning! I still had a blast with the girls this weekend, it's always nice to hang out with pretty ladies (especially when I'm fully conscious!) wink

This is my Reaver cuddling me on the couch when I got home on Sunday. I guess the he missed me, what a cutey! biggrin

Fan Expo this weekend!! Drop by the SG booth to hang out with me and all the other lovely ladies! wink

I'll be bringing some new prints with me!! Quantities will be limited, so make sure that you get over to the booth early if you're interested! I may only be at the con Friday and Saturday, so keep that in mind too.

I will be taking lots of pictures; hopefully some with the guests (Bruce Campbell! Leonard Nimoy!)! I'm going to be a smart cookie and bring my tripod this year. I ended up having to use my digital zoom last year for some of the celebrity photos and most of them were terribly blurry.

Anyway...I really should get to bed, I have a big day ahead of me.

I will leave you with this...something that I found during one of my wanderings. It got me thinking...

zoom image

...about all the things that I've been too scared to say, and too scared to do. I wondered what the person was thinking about when they wrote it.

I really don't need to be scared of a whole lot right now, regardless of how bad things have been. It was uplifting to read it smile

AUGUST 11, 2009 @ 10:25 AM

As of today, after listening to my voice mail, the only thing that I can honestly say that I am able to look forward to is Fan Expo. Almost everything else is...shit.

Stolen from BrightRedScream's journal; my response that I left...

Things I love:

my kitties
my family
Fallout 3
orange creamsicle ice cream

Thing I'm looking forward to:

Fan Expo!

What I actually DO like about me:

my eyes
my much smaller waist
my boobs

If you don't get the video, listen to the song. If you don't get the song...I can't help you.

Fuck.

...as a side note, to anyone that's contacted me and hasn't gotten a response yet, I apologize. I haven't really had much to say that isn't going to sound like "poor me" statements.

JULY 25, 2009 @ 01:53 AM

So I'm rather late with this....but here are my SG Canada East Gala pics!!

I arrived rather late, but managed to get a few pics before the night was out:

Ian_G & I

Fynx + Dixon

radiofrank & I

Luscious, Me, Martini

(omg I look crazy)

Martini getting her head eaten.

hadd & I

Hey! It's mah' book tongue

BrightRedScream + ElizabethGypsy

Archie & Smythe dancing...I kept getting their backs and blurry pics due to my camera being slow and lame...

...at least I got a couple shots of Archie's awesome back tattoo biggrin

More slow dancing...Agy & her man in the background.

Smythe

Luscious + Dane biggrin

Archie, Smythe + her man

Me + Team Sexy biggrin

Archie getting her bum *nearly* violated.

Agy & I (I think that I look a wee bit crazy in this pic too...)

Back at home...Navi with her "OMG WHAS THAT??" face on...

...I totally went and got Shanghai Cowgirl super awesome noodles!! I ate about a quarter of it in the car before driving home...and then had the rest at home...at 4:45 a.m....with my kitties going crazy over the nom nom nom smell!! $10 noodles = happy taste buds and full belly biggrin

I just about didn't go to the Gala (again) this year. I no longer had a +1, and I was feeling all anxious and down about going alone to a big social gathering. Of course, I know plenty of you, but I've been a total home-body lately. This has given me a mighty bad case of social anxiety. I know, silly, right? Well, that's what I get for keeping to myself and being a crazy not-so-old cat lady.

Well, I got over it. I kicked my ass out the door so fast that I even forgot my directions sheet (though I knew where the place was apparently).

I didn't arrive until around midnight, but that still gave me plenty of time to run around and talk to almost everyone before the night was out. I felt a lot better once I was there. It was great to see everyone, especially because I haven't seen most of you in a very long time!

So, lesson learned: Drag my ass out of the house to fun social gatherings even if I (emotionally) feel like crap.

Fun + friends = happy brain! shocked kiss (it's science, BELIEVE IT!)
JULY 14, 2009 @ 12:19 PM

Club Nintendo finally announced the rewards that Gold and Platinum members can receive. I hit Platinum status after registering ALL the games that I've purchased in the past 2-3 years or so (too bad we can't register old NES and onward games! tongue).

Anyway, I've got 2 choices:

zoom image

Doc Louis's Punch-Out!
Pros:
An exclusive Wiiware release that you can't get anywhere else (so they claim). Punching is fun.
Cons:
Looks to be only one match, which probably means next to no repeat play value.

zoom image
Mario Hat
Pros:
It's a fucking Mario hat, which is awesome. Might be higher quality than other ones available, and it's also free. Might look spiffy on top of my TV.
Cons:
It's a fucking Mario hat, you can pretty much get them anywhere. I don't look overly good in hats.

I'm only an elected official here, I can't make decisions by myself! Vote!
