Aaaaaargh! I'm waiting in anticipation for Abarat to be made into a movie. I read in the inside jacket to the second book of Abarat that the screenplay was written for the first book. I think it's all a bunch of lies! Damn! Another member here on this site bought me a DVD of early movies Barker made with Doug Bradley (Pinhead) probably when they were right out of film school called Salome and the Forbidden. It's fantastically hilarious, and creepy. I dont know where you're located but maybe you've seen the figurines that Barker and Todd MacFarlane(comic book illustrator) put out called The Infernal Parade? I spent a long ass time getting my hands on every last one. So hopefully for us, Abarat will be made for the big screen one day. Wouldn't that rawk?!
