its official. comic book conventions are WAY cooler than tattoo conventions. dont get me wrong, i love me some gorgeous body art &all, but nerds are SO much more fun! where else do you get to take a picture with a cute asian girl in a pikachu get-up, huh? comiccon in san diego was the biggest, best, &most fun convention ive been to yet!

it was amazing meeting/spending time with all of the ladies at the SG booth...so many brilliant, beautiful minds! coley, vice, bob, jaylin, cherry, dot, rigel, chloe, viquiV, irinka, atlas, tristyn, radeo, sash, saint, evette, zoli, aleena, squeak, astatine, dii, aleon, nixon...plus we ran into taye after sushi friday night, i met sg femi, anthony zuiker (creator of CSI), james remar (the actor who plays harry on dexter), troy duffy (director for the boondock saints), mark ryden, &&&i got to say hi to WilWheaton again! &i hardly even left the booth...sheesh! i can not WAIT to do it all again!

Every time I see pictures from the con, I'm totally wishing I had gone. I'm not hugely into comic books or anything but fuck it. One of these days, I'm going to one.

Seems you made it out intact - health-wise. It appears there was a flu bug that hit a bunch of my horror film journalist friends & acquaintances.

Glad you had fun though.

Maybe one day, I'll hafta to see what the hoopla is all about.

Comic Con, while fun, is a little commercial for my tastes. I'm also not a huge fan of how the convention is separate from where people stay.

Not sure how the whole representing SG thing works (not being an SG or even female for that matter), but if they cover your expenses and you can swing it, Dragoncon in Atlanta is, in my opinion, much more representative of cons and can be a lot of fun.
