For the first time in four years, I got drunk on tuesday night. It wasn't intentional, more like an awkward moment where I hadn't discussed with the person I was with that I didn't drink, and he's bought a bottle of wine to share.

So, I thought to heck with it. Just to let you know, I didn't quit because I had a problem, I just didn't enjoy it anymore. I did it all in excess way too young I suppose.

So I drank half a bottle of wine, and I was sick four times. After the second glass, I felt pretty good, I understood why people drink. I forced down the third to be polite, and the last half a glass was what pushed me over the edge. I don't know how people binge drink, or just drink to get drunk. It was the most revolting feeling, I wanted to die to stop the nausea, I was wallowing in regret and self pity, both of which I detest about drunks.

Needless to say, never again. I have faith that this won't be a hollow promise, at least not for the next four years, until I forget how horrific it is and decide to sample it again.
