Work last night was amazing. Thatiana and I bartended the main bar. We had a PJ party and all of us ladies looked so cute in our crazy PJ pants and pigtails. Around 1am, my friend brought us pillows so Thatiana and I had pillow fights behind the bar every now and then which was AMAZING (and entertained people at the bar). I really wish that I worked Sundays on a regular basis. It's our metal night (I don't listen to metal) but ahh!
Last week of the semester. I'll finally have some free time after Christmas. I have one final left and two projects due on Friday. I'm going to be sad to not have a class with my hot professor anymore. =( I need to take the other class that he teaches soon.
After this week, when I post I'll have something to talk about other than work or school!!!

Casey from Hawthorne Heights passed away yesterday morning. I hadn't seen him in probably over a year. When I lived in Jacksonville, my roommate was dating him so those guys would stay at our apartment. It was right before they got pretty big. It doesn't feel real at all because of the fact that I haven't seen him in so long or really talked to him. I think he texted me a few months ago about me moving to Chicago. And he updated me on his married life; He hadn't been married long. We weren't that close; I definitely have friends that were closer to him. But it's just crazy that I will never see him walking around Warped Tour barefoot again and telling him how crazy he is.
Please just keep his family/wife/band in your thoughts/prayers. This was completely unexpected for everyone and so many people are not taking it that well.

Two final projects/research papers done... two more to go.
Oh yeah. And I almost have a full sleeve. The bottom half should be finished by this weekend... and no idea when the top will be fully completed, but it's mostly done.
Now I need to go sleep since tomorrow = waking up, final editing and printing this research paper, going to class to turn it in at 6:30pm and then taking a quiz, then leaving class by 7:30 and going to work until 4:15am or so. And then waking up around 11am to take a shower to go with my roommate to her parents house in Schaumburg for Thanksgiving. Oh yeah.. and then coming home and getting this stupid presentation done for the class that pretty much almost gives me anxiety attacks. (It's actually not the class; it's the professor.)
Maybe I'll find time to get naked again someday.

This semester of school is coming to a climax of sorts. I really need to buckle down and work on my research papers. There are four of them:
Art vs Business in the Music Industry (20 pages)
Into to Mgmt presentation about Crush Management (10 minutes plus 10 pages)
Ethnography for my writing and rhetoric class about hipsters (20 pages plus 5-10 minute presentation)
Paper on how digital technology has affected the art of DJing (10-15 pages, I think plus 10-12 slides in PowerPoint)
So that above, plus work, is why I am not around much lately! Buuut...
Monday: Bartending at Exit 11pm-4am.
Wednesday: NOT working, but I'll probably be at Exit for a little while around 10:30-11 if anyone wants to hang out.
Friday: Barbacking upstairs from 10pm-4am.
Saturday: BARTENDING upstairs from 10pm-5am.
I know that I ALWAYS talk about my bar, but a girl's gotta pay her way through college, yeah? Anyways. This is only the second time that I am bartending on a Saturday. One of the girls gave up her Saturday bartending shift so Joe P is testing things out to see who he wants there. I'll be working upstairs at the tank bar [the bar by the restrooms] so pleaaaase come by and make me look good! haha.. and hang out with me and keep me company!

My roommate took some photos of me earlier this week [or last week? I don't remember] for a photo project in one of her classes. The scans do not do the actual photos justice at ALL. They are frickin' awesome. Buuut... the scans will have to do to show ya'll!
Oh. I'm also getting more work done on my arm either tomorrow or Tuesday by my handsome friend, Jason. Yayyy.

I have been lounging around all day [well, I did two assignments for my online class. About to be three after I post this] and I started cleaning up a little. I have an excuse for being lazy on Sundays; It's that Frenchie and I barback until 5am, then we do inventory, and then we clean up the bar and don't get out of there until 6am. I don't get to sleep until about 7 or 7:30am.
SPEAKING of the bar, Exit is having a whole week of Halloween Hell. I'll post the flyer later BUT the main dates that everyone needs to know:
Friday 10/26: It's the beginning of Halloween Hell. I'll be working downstairs.
Saturday 10/27: I'm not sure exactly what we're doing this night, but I'll be upstairs.
Monday 10/29: I'll be bartending at 11pm at the back bar! I can't tell you what costumes we're wearing every night, but let's just say that I'm the only girl that works on Mondays so although we'll all be dressed in the same theme, I'll be much cuter.
HALLOWEEN!! WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31st!!! I'm not sure that I'm definitely working because I have class. I probably will since we will be open both downstairs AND upstairs! So not only is it our popular No Shame night, but there will be costume contests, giveaways, and of course lotssss of alcohol and boobies and dancing on the bar! So even if I'm not there working, I'll be there hanging out and everyone else should, too!!

I am horrible about updating. But ya know... school. And work. I guess the best place for any friends to really hang out with me is to come to work. And even then sometimes I get kinda busy. Blahh!
I bartended on Saturday. It was my first Saturday and I actually liked being somewhat busy! Busy compared to a Monday before 2am. I also met some super awesome people that night. Aaaaand my friend, Aaron came to visit me!! I hadn't seen him since I had JUST moved here due to an argument. But we're all good now and that makes me happy. <3
And um.. best thing ever: I saw Hanson last night!!!! I've been a fan of that band for 10 years now. It'll be 11 years in May. Anyways. I just saw them before I left LA at Hotel Cafe. So it was a bit weird seeing them at House of Blues. More guys were at the Hotel Cafe show. This show was more of a typical Hanson show. Which isn't a bad thing. I got so psyched when they played MMMBop. I still love that song. But I love it better now that they play it acoustic so it's not as poppy sounding. And.... They played Yearbook!!!!! Kinda a cheesy song [it's off their first major release], but I have been wanting to hear that song live for the past TEN years! And this is the first tour that they're playing it!!! Ahh!! I was also next to these two 40 yr old dudes that were SO into the show! Singing and dancing and everything. It made me all happy and stuff. I felt like I was 12 again last night and it ruled.
Aaaand... gotta go to the bank now, then gotta pay rent, and I have to eat at some point, and do some more schoolwork, and then working at Exit! Come visit.
