I forgot how awesome it is to get high...sometimes.
This isn't a habitual habbit, but when it does happen I feel it really helps me out lol
Just some food for thought;
We are said to have neurological receptors that respond naturally to certain types of drugs, including mara-ja-wana , so is that the brain's way or evolutions way of saying that its okay to do drugs to a certain extent?!?!zoom image

Today I had my first Abnormal psych class, and I fell in love with it. My teacher even keeps us interested in his lecture by periodically saying things like. "does that get you turned on?"
I keep turning my head in confuzzlement, but nonetheless I think this semester is going to be a good one smilezoom image

eeek WOW! it seems like almost forever since signing in here, so I did some updates with my pictures!
I've done some shoots during the summer, and have worked like a mad woman... but now...
I'm back at school and am actually really excited for it. I'm in school for psychology, and hope to get my PhD...yea I know how much money, time and discipline that is tongue My big dream is to be able to create innovative ideas that will help the masses, through my psychological and philosophical interests, which are:
Music Cognition- a mood affector/ concentrating tool/ another language? (the science of music)
Sexuality- Is it evolving from a biological drive, and to what degree?
Developmental- The fascinating journey of life and how the brain effects us each step of the way
Personality- How much of our traits are dis positioned/ learned? How do we differ in how we perceive the world?
Neurological Cognition How neurons develop, govern and change and effect us throughout our lives
Philosophy of Science how science came to be, is as a field and where its going
Metaphysics What if anything is beyond the perceivable?
Existentialism You are the only one who can choose what you are in the beginning and end.

I have to somehow combine or choose between these different topics/ sub fields and make my mark on the world with the weapon of education that I need to get serious about as I go through university... It's scary and I need lots of discipline, but like they say " if you put your mind to it you can do anything!" and believe me
... this is my PASSION
To be as smart as I can and help make ground breaking research in the future for the infinite future ahead! biggrin

There's something about anime that really gets to me, (in a good way). No matter how childish or far-fetched it seems to be, there are always little morals and inspirations that can be pulled out from the thousands of shows out there in the world. Ever since Sailor Moon, I've watched over a hundred different animes, and have realized that I like it so much because its so different. It's allowed to incorporate whatever ideas are floating around in the creator's head with less scrutiny from the audience then if the ideas were put into a real life show. This makes it easier for certain messages to get portrayed, and in turn can draw more people to it. Not everyone likes it, but those who do can usually find at least 4 shows that they can really connect with.
When in my last year of high school, I did a mini study of why some are more drawn to anime, and some aren't. The correlation that I brought into the equation was how connected they felt to the rest of the world. It turns out that those who, for whatever reason, be it family troubles, not feeling close to friends/ peers, or just people who wanted to be different were more likely to watch and really enjoy anime. Theses people would connect to characters and shows that they felt best represented a part of them. Whatever crazy plots that grabbed the attention of those watching the show had a big impact on them, and they'd continue to watch it.
For me, I have been drawn to the shows where a group of kids/teens/ (whatever you want to call them) would have to face countless trials, tribulations and obstacles, growing both as individuals and as a team. I've always been known for being weird, and when I was younger I kind of saw it as something to be sad about, but as I've grown I feel that this is my greatest asset as a person in the 21st century, I will proudly declare my wish to be different; "I am not normal!" and I don't want to be... besides.... what is normal?
Lately I've been boasting about a lot of these shows, but am focusing my attention to the show 'One Piece'. It's a story about The main character, 'Monkey D. Luffy' who is a pirate. He has a dream that some would say is crazy, still he goes for it with 200% determination. His dream? To become the pirate king. Not through ruthless killing sprees or a 'grand theft'. He wants to make it to 'The Grand Line' where the treasure that the former "Pirate King" left behind. It's one piece of gold. Along the way he gains the respect and companionship of many, among those are the other main characters, Nami- a thief/ navigator who wants to explore and draw a map of the world. Zoro- a swordsman who can use a technique with three swords. He wants to find the current master swordsman and defeat him, so that he can be the strongest swordsman in the world. There is Ussop, who is the crew's ummm well he lies a lot and tells lots of interesting stories... now all he needs to do is 'walk the walk', which he does when his friends are in danger. He wants to be a great man of the sea smile Sanji is a very talented chef who fights only with his feet, because he fears he might mess up his hands and loose his ability to cook. He wants to find "All Blue" A continent where all the great chefs gather, and he wants to become the best chef in the world. Chopper is a half reindeer half human. He is also the crew's doctor. He was personified by eating the 'Devils fruit' (an assortment of fruit that bestows the person/ thing who ate it a certain power, at the cost of not being able to swim) Luffy ate one of these fruits that turned him into a rubber guy. Robin also ate a Devil Fruit, and she can call upon and control hands. This can be used to lend a helping hand, or to paralyze someone. She is an archeologist who wants to find and decipher different ancient artifacts left behind. As you see here... all of their dreams seem crazy, but no matter what obstacles they have to overcome, they get through them together. The show is very comical, but at the same time has tons of action and I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes anime...but I'm unfortunately only on episode 156 out of 394... Ohh and did I forget to mention...its still going eeek It'll keep me going for a while yet... shocked ... I mean love
Today I got a shirt custom made with the 6 main characters on the front and Luffy on the back... I'm so happy biggrin

Ame (rain in Japanese)

A Secret wish drowning in somber hope
Releasing tension, despair... refresh
Turn in silence through distance. Let go
Rippling through time. Affecting the sea in time.
Prism of reality into purity through the shedding light.
Hide or intensifying side by side as it falls.
Impact and spread, bold with a safe peaceful chill.zoom image
