♥ Happy Friday the 13th SGland!!!! ♥


So, some things I have going on while I am currently trying to find another full time position in my field……

I am working on designing a book cover for a local author. I don't have the contract yet, I have to meet with him and present him with some quick ideas/ sketches that I have and see if I beat out the other designers that he will be meeting with as well. I don't know, if I do, I do. If I don't, I don't. No harm no foul for trying right?!?!?
I don't think it will be a hard project, so hopefully (if I do get the contract) it will be easy money. I also will have it for my portfolio and my name credited in the book for the cover art.

I also got a call from this guy last night that I had given my business card to like over the summer at an art walk downtown. He's a local photographer, I didn't really think his work was all that great but hey he's doing what he loves and giving it 100% so more power to him, and he also makes low budget gorilla style films. Anyway, he called me about designing a very simple website for him. I tried to tell him I can do that, but don't feel comfortable with it because being a junior designer I have never published a site by myself I have only designed graphics, banners, logos, and navigation for webpages and my senior designer did the rest. He didn't seem to care, of course he just needs to find somebody that will do it in his price range so somebody like me would be perfect. Again, I'm gonna meet up with him sometime next week or so and look at his portfolio and get all the need to knows and give it a shot depending on how much shit he wants done at how much money he is willing to pay. I'm 98% sure I can publish it, I have done 3 sites in college but I just don't remember the end process, so I will have to just find my old notes lol!

He also wants me to be in his movie, which is pretty funny. I have no clue what the movie is about. He just asked me if I can ride a horse (I say yes I used to have and race horses when I was younger) and if I can shoot a gun ( I say yes I have shot a Desert Eagle, Ruger, and a Glock) then he says, "We are gonna work well together!" So I have no idea what the hell all that is about or if I am going to do it since I don't know this guy at all, but I will keep you posted lol!


I also skated to my best friends house yesterday......
