I miss privacy. It's a pretty hard commodity to come by these days, especially if you're "out there" as much as I am.
Lately, all my fantasies involve moving to a European countryside with no internet, growing all my own food in a garden, and spending my days reading, writing stories, sewing, knitting, cooking, and baking.
Toronto is starting to get very small. My needs for reinvention can never be met here. Staying here means that I have to be the me I've been cultivating for the last six years, and to be honest, I think I've grown out of her. I can't leave- the yoke of responsibility is wound too tightly around my neck to disentangle myself from this city without damage- but I envy the freedom of little birds.
