I would like to thank each and every one of you for showing support and leaving me messages and comments through my mothers illness. It means a tremendous deal. Its comforting in a way knowing there are others out there who have or are going through the same thing. I know I have someone to talk to who can relate and completely understand me. Thank you so very much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This week has been better, my mother went into surgery last friday. They removed all they can and once she is healed she can start her chemo treatments. They will last for 6 months. They're going to be brutal on her but I know my mom is a strong women, I know she can fight through this. And I am here every step of the way for her. Ive been helping her out all week since she is home now. Its weird, honestly, you never picture yourself having to take care of your parents. They've always been the care taker the one who bathed you, fed you, picked up after you. Its sad to see your parents get old. I feel cheated, life is too short. It really is. 80-90-100 years isnt enough for me.

Anyways, I hope all of you are having a fantastic start to your weekend.
Mine= Wet, cold and icky outside here in Denver so far... So I decided I needed a little pick-me-up and went down to "True Love" and bought myself a pretty new pair of wedges today! Shoes make a girl happy, even if for only a few moments...

I'm sorry to hear about what's going on with your mom, but I'm happy to hear that the surgery went well. After a year of fighting, my oldest sister is cancer free. I pray for your mom's safe and swift recovery.

I hope your moms treatments go well and with your support I’m sure they will. As for my weekend it’s 71 and sunny right now and it’s going to be like that tomorrow too. Congrats on your set going up on the front page!

Hey,

Just remember this, my grandmother was 83 and in pretty much the exact position your mother is in. My grandmother said her chemo was much easier than she had anticipated. Certainly no walk in the park but probably not as nightmarish as the images we may carry from older relatives etc enduring such things in the 80's or something like that.

My brother just successfully completed his chemo. It was pretty tough and wore him out completely, but that meant that he slept most of the time. That was quite good in a way, as he didn't suffer while sleeping, and it worked in the end :-)
Hope your mother will get through it well like this as well. With you at her side her odd's are certainly better.

Yeah, we're here for you. I can't speak for the rest of your friends/fans, but I've been right where you are now and I know how bad it is. You're a good daughter, and I know your mom appreciates your love and support. So if you need a sympathetic ear or metaphorical shoulder to cry on, you know where to find me. Take care...
