I've always been domestic at heart.
I found a $100 Cuisinart Breadmaker on Tigerdirect for 40 bucks (refurbished), so I figured, why not? (I don't have an oven in my apartment either, so I really can benefit from this)
It got here super fast and was in a huge box....I thought it was going to be a lot smaller but it's a pretty
big machine!
And it is currently baking its first loaf, a banana bread.
The aromatherapy is amazing.
I can't wait to program it to bake in the early morning so I can be awakened by the smell of baking bread.
Oh and almost forgot - I am growing my own kombucha mushroom from scratch to process my own kombucha tea. This is the new "mother" after 2 weeks...has about another week to go.
Thanks for a great month SG; I was so happy to see Valhala, Hiky, Chride and soon Prism make it to the Front Page! Congrats ladies, well done.

My friend producing my album is finally sending me the rough mixes for review so it's a relief to know that that will be done soon. In the meantime I am editing videos for the songs! They should be pretty hot and I can't wait to share them with you

My mom came to visit and we spent the day at Opryland and later some honkytonking on Broadway.
Oh yeah and watched the Nashville city fireworks downtown on the river which were crazy.

I'm getting really excited about an upcoming trip in July - down to Panama City, FL,
where some SGs will be gathering for a beach house summer vacation - oh hell yeah! I have a feeling it's going to be amazing.
I'm also excited because I just got some really cute diggs in Nashville and it's going to work great as a studio/living space for awhile. Sooo...come shoot with me! I move in June 1st.

A couple weeks ago I took a quick (flying) trip back to the studio in Joshua Tree to finish up more work on my music project, and to hang out at Pappy & Harriet's...one of the most magical places in the world.
Then I came back to my new home of Nashville and Bitten flew in the same night and we went to the Ryman for a Grand Ole Opry-type show called Opry Country Classics which was great. And we enjoyed some genuine Broadway honky tonk and fried pickles at Robert's Western World.
I have been posting some sets on Zivity and even though you may have seen a few of them before, if you are a hardcore supporter and just want to send a little sunshine my way, please feel free to give them some love over there. My Zivity...

My friend and I shot these about 6 months ago and I finally had a chance to edit them for SG. It'll be another month to wait or so before it posts to member review, but I wanted to announce that I am doing something I haven't done very often - SELLING PRINTS!
I'm trying to find an affordable great live/work studio space in Nashville so I'm doing whatever I can to try and get closer to that goal. If you have been enjoying my work on SG and have the desire and means to help support an independent artist, please consider enhancing your walls with a print of yours truly.

...Everything possible packaging-wise should now be made with that good ol' biodegradable cornstarch ! Landfills ought to become a thing of the past. For now we must be mindful about how much plastic we buy.

Somehow I was shooting on the beach in La Jolla CA less than 48 hours before tsunami waves from Japan caused an evacuation there and washed away a beach club house... Freaky. I think I heard about it when we got up to Oakland, where I was staying at a place called the Waterfront Hotel...which was of course literally right on the edge of the east bay. The day we were there, they were almost going to shut down the ferry service because of the scare. But the weather was completely calm and perfect instead. All I can say is it's good to feel safe...!
My birthday show in Pioneertown was fun; Bitten even flew in from AZ for it and gave me this amazing blanket. Here is a picture of us at the show:
There is a video clip posted on the Laura Harmondale facebook page with a small sample of our performance.
I am going back to the recording studio this week to get some things finalized for the album... The suspense is starting to get to me! I can't wait until the moment I can announce its completion.
Currently I have one more week in So Cal before I'm on my way back through...
