Perhaps you should have walked out? Sounds though like this movie may have served as a conduit to rid yourself of some anger. So perhaps not all was wasted.

I'm glad I didn't waste my money. I find George Clooney rather one dimensional anyway, famous for being famous rather than any talent he may possess.

Hmmm, interesting. The comment from one person who said they liked The Last Exorcism made me want to see The American more, as *everyone* I have heard from thought that movie sucked eggs BIG time. Not that I was going to see it in the theaters anyway, so I'll just wait for my dad or brother to buy it on DVD. :-) The only movie that I've seen so far in my life and wanted my time back again (it was a rental) was Highlander 2. I stopped it part way into it and never saw the rest, it sucked so bad.

Good to know! Won't waste time watching it now... that's how I felt after I watched "Babel" it was supposed to be so good, but I really just felt like sleeping or watching something INTERESTING.
