Sorry to hear about your car! I did the exact same thing last month; backed into my mother-in-law's car! Fortunately she loves me to pieces, so all is good. Doesn't make me feel like any less of an ass, though.

A young girl backed into my jeep the day before yesterday. She came to my door to tell me about it.
I looked at my jeep with its busted runningboard, looked back at her, 22 y.o., army uniform, cute, and said " Don't worry about it ". I probably would have been less forgiving had it been a guy.
Good luck with that. Drive more carefully.

That sounds possibly frustrating and embarrassing. Don't fret the mistake too much, we all make them. I'm glad no one was hurt. My alternator decided to die out of the blue last week. Luckily, getting it fixed wasn't expensive or time consuming.
