Spent the day with my momma having dinner, swimming, and playing Wii. I kicked her butt at Dr. Mario (which I love and am virtually unbeatable at), but she almost had me a couple of times. She's gonna practice so she'll be ready when I go back over.

Still haven't gotten my car back from the shop. frown

Presley dog is gone crazy and she keeps eating holes in her legs. Literally. She will lick and chew a spot until it's an open wound and then if I try to wrap it or whatnot she does another leg. I can't keep her in an E-collar all the time. I don't really know what to do. She gets exercise, kong's with treats to lick on, she plays all day long.... I'm at a loss.

Had some friends over for fun games last night. Raving Rabbids for the Wii is awesome! I love throwing cows (as if you have seen the split personalities video you will know).

The fleas are still alive and multiplying. We had an exterminator out three times now and the garage is still infested. I'm not really sure what to do about that. He used some stuff that would melt your flesh off but it didn't even faze them. Fuckers.

Vagina Hat. Just because.

I've been working on some new sketches. I wanted to take photos of them/me/ and some video but my damn video camera is ka-put. Now I am camera-less completely. My phone takes crappy photos so...... not sure what to do about this right yet.

No one answered the questions in the previous blog correctly so I'm gonna let them roll onto this one for double the points. See previous blog for questions.

Good luck and great day to everyone!

My Grandmas dog has the same problem... She was alergic to fleas and would naw at herslef till she bled... She was old so I would feel sorry for her... They finally put her to sleep since she could even stand up straight anymore... In a way I was glad because no one would take care of her... She was dirt and looked like if she had lepracy (due to the nawing on her flesh).... I hope you get rid of your problem of fleas at home as well as your dog's problem... I thnk there is this spray you use so dogs dont like themselves that has a repelling scent.... Not sure but you should chk that out...

As for Rabbid Rabbits all I can say is Wuuuuaaahhhhhhh!!! Those rabbits crack me up.... I wear out with all the physical strength that goes into that game but it is still a whole lot of fun.... Well have a great week....

Aw, Presley may have flea dermatitis or something causing this, maybe get the vet to take some skin scrapings for analysis. Does it happen at specific times (i.e. could it be stress/anxiety related?) Poor girl.

Hows the puppy coming on?

Wii...and Vagina Hat? hehe
Haven't played Raving Rabbids yet. I may have to try it out.
Fleas are evil indeed. I don't know if it was stress or fleas but one of my cats back in the day (RIP) gnawed her legs off practically. frown Poor girl. I hope the leg chewing stops and Presley gets all better!
As for the questions, I realized I somehow don't know them. Sadness. frown
But keep up the Wii and Vagina Hatness. smile

So either you exterminator is incompetent or the fleas are already resistant stuff he's using. My guess is closer to the latter. Plus fleas go through multiple stages of development and the chemicals that work on each stage are different. You could potentially kill all the active adults, and then see fleas days or weeks later as all the developing ones emerge. FL is a tough place, all the heat and humidity and almost never freezing in the winter.

I use a lot of Boric Acid around my home for general pest control. It's a powder, often sold as a roach powder, but it work on all bugs. Boric acid is a powerful desiccant, literally dehydrating the insect. It's fairly safe for pets, if they lick it they'll just get really thirsty. And because it's not a toxic chemical, bugs can't develop resistances to it. But I put it in all the places where pets and people don't go. Spray the powder up under all my kitchen and bath cabinets, the gaps by the garage doors along the wall. Spreading a bunch around the garage and putting out flea traps should eventually bring it under control. But the lengthy life cycle of fleas may mean you have to do this all the time to get it controlled and prevent it again.

Something like Frontline or Advantage on the pets will keep the fleas off of them and possibly even help Presleys gnawing.

I use Advantage on the cat. Works like a charm.
Methinks another exterminator would be in order.

There's a spray wal mart carries i use for my pit bulls yard. I'm not sure the brand but its in a red bottle and all you do is hook it to a garden hose and spray the area, you can try that and see.

I have heard that Borax can be used for fleas. Google it, does the same thing as boric acid. I hate bugs, maybe that's why i like living in Washington state.
