Why am I still awake? I don't know. I can't sleep. Maybe it's because there is a show tomorrow and I always get antsy before hand. *shrug*

I'm hungry... nothing to eat but rice, guess I'll have rice

I went to my appointment with the Neurologist today, almost forgot to update. I don't need back surgery right now, but I probably will a few years down the line. My back muscles have spasmed so tight that it's pulling my spine too straight.

Yes, it hurts. However, like I said, the cysts aren't too big yet so I'm good to go for a while with a prescription for muscle relaxers and the advice of 'take a hot bath once a day'.

I would but we have REALLY REALLY hard water here and I feel dry and icky if I stay in it too long. Forget about trying to drink it. It's NASTY.

My dog is the gassiest dog EVER! Yuck.

I had years of back problems that gradually faded but are always lying in wait. I have to be careful always. Naturally I end up going into nursing, which has one of the worst records of muskuloskeletal problems of any profession. Maybe catch you at the OR some day. Good luck on rest and the show,

I'm sorry about your ongoing back problems. I admire your pragmatism about the situation.

Not sleeping is the norm for me. It can cause problems if it's a long-term thing. I'm amazed that I don't have more heath issues than i do because I'm been sleep deprived for what seems like forever.

Sorry about your back . . hope it doesn't hurt too much! Can you put oils in your bath? Might help the dry skin!

Rice is nice! I remember that water. The strong smell and the hard residue left behind by every evaporated drop. Not one of my better memories of the Sunshine State.

Thanks for the update - I've been worried and concerned. I'm sorry for your suffering. I hope that your doctors can do something to alleviate your pain.

I can't remember the last time that I had a full, restful night's sleep. I "nap" at odd hours of the day and night - whenever I'm too tired to stay awake. It's been working for me for years. I wouldn't wish it on or recommend it to anyone else however.

I'd love to drive down and see one of your shows but my cat doesn't travel well. Yep, that's who's in charge here.

I'm so sorry about your back--- maybe instead of a hot bath, you could use a heating pad?

I have this little microwaveable heating sack that I use for EVERY kind of pain...headaches, backaches, PMS cramps, etc.

also, dog gas is the WORST...

I'm glad that your back is treatable in the future and manageable in the present.
Have you tried water softener tablets ?
Animal / pet gas ... stinks.
