ive been working my butt off as manager for the past few weeks, thats now over YIPEE!! more time to be creative, less time for customers. a man came in the other day (who looked like your typical truck driver) and asked if he could try on these fabulous silver sparkly heels. good on him. they didnt fit, but you have to commend a guy who can come into a place like my store (its pretty corporate/in a fancy building) and put up with bitchy old woman standing almost on top of him starring. how rude of them. i had to snigger, i like when people push boundaries

i have to say, im just so happy right now. everything just seems to be going well with every aspect of my life, and im more in love than ever i cant wait till we play house, not long now *waits kinda patiently* hopefully by the end of year......

my tummy bug turns out to be pancreatitis. i guess i can at least be thankful i dont have malaria. ive been told to eat rice bubbles for 4 days. rice bubbles?? how do you get full on rice bubbles?? i think ive eaten too much sugar and partied way too hard in my 33 years, my pancreas is pretty shoddy. ah well, at least i can say ive had fun

so.....ive made an album with some of my Africa Pics. i have almost 2000 photos, so just put in 50 to give you a bit of an idea. it really is a surreal place to travel. i love the vibe it gives off. things just feel real. there is so much sky to be seen!! soooo much sky. you dont realise how much sky is chopped out by trees and buildings and power poles, until you are somewhere where there is nothing but flat land. it really is impressive. well, it is to me

ok, lets just stop a second. whilst we are on the topic of monkeys, ill tell you what happened. (please note that last time i went to Africa i had 2 incidents with these little shits, this time, just like the last, they happened again).....

firstly, a Vervet Moneky (see above) made its way into our bathroom. we get home and suprise this little guy so much so, that he throws himself into a glass window, only to be bounced back across the bathroom floor in a tumble. he goes for it again and SMASH! he flies straight through the glass oh, and he left us a poo on the rug

secondly, a Baboon (i really dont like these guys), actually i should say Baboonsss ransacked our tent. badly too. shit everywhere, my pyjamas were 20 metres from the tent, they went through my suitcase, smashed everything. grrrrr, after one jumped into my car last time i have a serious distaste for these guys *shakes fist in fury*

i also went to Dubai, all i can say is wow. that place is like (as Boombambi said) "being in the future". they have so much money they dont know what to do with it. so, they end up with ski fields in the middle of their shopping centres

so overall my trip was brilliant. its a shame i was sick for half of it, but i tried my best not to let it get me down. back to work on Monday. back to the same old, same old. ill have to start planning something for myself again soon as this girl has a tendency to get a little bored....

whilst i was away i read this book. girls?? read it. its brilliant

5 sleeps to go. i have never felt so excited about a holiday before. im going to Africa. the place that i love to travel most, its really like nothing else you've seen. thing i love most, there are no phones, no tv, no internet no nothing!! it forces you to relax and the days are so much longer *sighs* i cannot wait

today was beautiful. i stayed out late last night drinking champagne and listening to Bob Dylan with a beautiful friend of mine. this morning i woke at 9am as the rain was so loud. i woke up, smiled at the rain, rolled over and went back to sleep. its the best feeling knowing you dont have anything to do. i very rarely get bored, only if im doing something that is actually boring.

so i got up at midday, went into the Valley to meet my boy, we ate, we kissed, we killed some time. then his work dargged him away from me, so i went back home to have a lounge about in my spa. then my housemate came home, we went to the pub, had a feed, now im looking at my big comfy bed again. what a fabulously lazy day!! they are so few and far between, i should plan days of nothing more often. i wish i could make it rain on queue though. bliss!!



ive made an executive decsion. when i get back from overseas, im changing jobs. its been 2 years that ive been where i am, i think this girl needs something new its kinda scary, im not much of a job hopper, but i know that i need change.

well, im off to bed, this weather is just so yummy, i need to be snuggly!!

ugh! a photographer wanted to shoot me today, (not for SG) she picked the theme, the date, the place and the time. ive been up since 7am dealing wiht false eyelashes and outfits as requested. the shoot was to be at midday. i get there. no answer. i wait awhile. nothing. half and hour later i thump on the door just incase she cant hear me and a half naked boy stumbles out. "is ***** there?" i ask. boy scratches head. "hang on"......

everbody has bad days

but i think there's a difference between for eg. getting told off at work or missing your bus.....and wanting to break everything in sight, tear apart your skin and scream bloody murder, for no aparent reason.

it happens. not often, but its there. i guess it always will be. i find it hard to understand, so how do i expect others?? some shy from me, guess not knowing what to say. thing is, i cant reach them either. like watching someone slowly drown, you cant hear them nor see them properly.

i just want to sleep....

but todays a little brighter than yesterday.
