It’s amazing, such a horrible waste of life. Last year while I was in Afghanistan we sent a lot of people home in boxes and I really started to think about the terrible waste of life only to have things like this happen here. Having said that, I will completely undermine what I just said and say, the little asshole should have at least have had the decency to take his own life.

That guy makes me SICK! I can't help but read about the story each and every day.. With that said, my heart is broken over and over each and every day reading about the accounts of those in the theater. What a coward that guy! The skin color of this guy will not play a role in him either spending the rest of his life in prison or getting the death penalty. I wish there were a way for us to help people like this before they lose it and kill innocent people, that would be a perfect world though...I guess.. It is very sad that this happened and I feel for all those who lost somebody... May their souls rest in peace.

There's already a place in hell for that dude whether you believe in heaven or hell or not. It's not about guns or gun control. It's about CRAZY people. And crazy people have access to guns just like everybody else. There are some people who just can't be helped and this dude is one of them. Fuck all the liberal and conservative bullshit, people are dying and we need to address the problem of mental illness. If not there will be more attacks like this. People need to wake the fuck up. But they won't since we never learn SHIT anyway. Human beings are an endangered species and it's our own fault.

To be honest, all those people talking BS about skin color apparently don't read much. It has been listed several times in the news that within minutes of hearing what this guy was in there for, and the fact that women and children were among the victims, EVERYONE in that jail facility wanted to kill him, every race color and creed wanted him dead... Cops followed the rules, if he dropped his weapon and surrendered upon request, they would have had no reason to shoot him. I hate when people turn this shit into politics about race and gun rights and blah blah blah.

This is a tragedy, and in the wake of tragedy a lot of people search for answers, WHY did this happen, WHO would do such a thing, HOW was it possible for him to get these weapons of destruction, and a lot of times WHERE is safe anymore? I have no answers for you, no one probably does, but I do have this little tidbit, this guy will probably regret the fact that he did not give police probable cause to shoot him. He is going to get raped, stabbed, and assaulted MANY MANY MANY times over during his incarceration before he is finally put to death. If that's as close as we can get to hell on this earth, I'm glad he will be enduring it. Then he will be put to death and one less destructive soul will be out there destroying lives. People who assault women and children get DESTROYED in prison, and rightfully so.

I was really glad that Christian Bale went to go visit the victims... this whole thing is so disheartening. My mind keeps flashing to the little girl that died, and I just can't wrap my head around it.
I've always said that kids have no business in a movie theater for various reasons... Now I feel even more strongly about it. That guy had no business going into a theater shooting it up either, though, no one expects a child to die in these situations.
