My brother was pulled over on the side of 75 on his way to Florida. They found a roach in the car. Which is by Georgia state law, "Possession of less than an ounce". So it's a ticket, right? Think again. This police station is holding my brother for 6 months while they test the substance in the roach to make sure that it is marijuana. So as if that sounds crazy enough, I thought maybe I was just missing a big chunk of the story till I went there. This is the kind of town you see in horror movies. The kind of town where "they are the law", where it's their rules. I literally felt uneasy even being in that town. They won't release my brother or give us any answers as to what the fuck is even going on. I am beyond terrified. He's just a young kid. This precinct has been investigated a million times. They are sued on a regular basis. But know one can get anywhere with these people. The sheriff that is reigning there now took his fathers place, who took his fathers place. And I am just terrified for my brother. I don't even know what to do. Or what I can do. I feel so helpless. I didn't think places like that really existed. It is disheartening not just for my loved one who is stuck there. But everyone else who is there too. I feel so compelled to do something. I can't sit idly by when I know people are being treated that way. It makes me fucking sick.
I don't even feel like a whole person right now.
I feel like if I don't make this right. Who will?
How do people even sleep at night?
Or look at themselves for that matter?
I'm sorry to put that out there like that. Because I never like to post negativity in blogs. But I had to get it out, it's literally driving me to the brink of insanity. So just bear with me. I might not be on here a lot. So if it takes me awhile to get back to you guys. That is why. You know I love you all.

I agree with getting a decent attorney. If you have to talk to anyone, talk to the district attorney's office for the county. There is no reason he shouldn't be released immediately on his own recognizance.

I'm with you and I hope that your brother wil be released soon, also I have to agree to find a decent attorney.
But you really have to spread the word. Fight for your rights, fight for his rights. No matter what.
