~Inspiration of the day~

I've been meaning to blog for a long time but never get to it for some reason. I don't know if many of you here appreciate pole dancing as an art form but I know I do.
This is Marlo Fisken, one of my favorite pole dancers. I saw her first on youtube 2 years ago and she instantly became one of my favorites. Seeing her now and the transformation and how amazing she has become since then is unbelievable. It gives me hope that if I am dedicated enough and do things right I can become so much better. If only I can get my self out of my ruts and exhaustion that I have all the time.
I am just so inspired by this video I had to post it here. This is with out a doubt the most beautiful and breathtaking pole performance that I have ever seen. So strong, flexible and graceful. I get kind of emotional watching it. whateverblush

Total respect. I saw this kind of performance live once before (Rammstein as soundtrack, no less) and it blew my mind. Contemporary dancing can take many interesting and unexpected forms. Kudos.

My favorite is Felix Cane. I watched video from the world championships of her, and she did things I didn't think were possible.

She is, pretty damn good. But i just watched your 'Toxic' video again, and i reckon you could take her. You have nothing to be ashamed of. If i was a judge i'd be voting for you.

She is a rubberband. I love your Toxic video. I watch it at least once a day just to make me smile. Please post more of your own videos.

That pole work is PHENOMENAL. I'm sure you'll get there. ♥

I hope I have the opportunity to learn pole dancing one day. It seems to just get more and more impressive! smile

Oh my god! eeek So incredible! I'm in total awe of how effortless she made everything look. I can't imagine being able to do one tenth of that without my limbs and muscles shaking and my face all beet red and sweaty.

A few minutes ago I watched a couple a couple of your videos that I hadn't seen yet and was reminded of how much skill and talent you have with the pole. Your spins are pure magic!

We never jumped off the zipline into the river because it was under a meter deep and full of rocks and dead tree branches. blackeyed

The Sugarcubes rock! It's been too long since I've listened to that stuff. I was way into Björk during Post/Homogenic/Vespertine. Looking back I'm realizing that I really liked the synth and electronic sounds she was using at the time. And Vespertine was full of choir and strings and harp, which I adored. I also had a lot of glorious and long makeouts with my first gf to that album, which gives it a special place in my heart. biggrin I haven't paid a whole lot of attention over the past few years. She does seem to be getting weirder and more eclectic. I've seen a few bits and pieces of her new project. It's pretty far out there. surreal

Oh gosh, I've fallen of the wagon a bit. After the hamstring injury, I got sick! Since then I've found it hard to get back into it. I'm trying though. My back injury has been playing up too. Health problems are so irritating.

Hopefully I can get back on track this week!!

( And thank you. ^_^ Glad you enjoy the photos. x )
