I think some people are getting the wrong idea about this site. The motto is 'beauty redefined', which it has done. The problem with that is that some people now think that you can only be beautiful if you are covered with tattoos and piercings. Obviously, I don't have anything against tattoos or piercings but I think that you can be beautiful without them. Most people are realizing that too because more and more hopefuls with no mods are SG everyday and there's nothing wrong with that. To some people, it might sound like I'm against the entire idea of this site but that's not true at all. What was beauty before? You usually think of a blond haired, blue eyed, tan girl who wears a size 2 as the stereotypical beauty (Which can also be beautiful, I have nothing against them either). This site has succeeded in in redefining beauty by showing that we don't have to be like that to be beautiful. There are tons of brunettes, big beautiful brown eyes, gorgeous alabaster skinned and curvy girls on this site who are all considered beautiful. The point is, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think that everyone should look beyond such shallowness and see that everyone is beautiful. Yeah, I know I sound like a hippy but hey, my glass is half full.

I completely agree. At what point does the alternative become the norm? And at that point you have to find a new alternative to the alternative.

I think the problem people have with some of the un-modded hopefuls is that that kind of beauty can be found flicking open pretty much any magazine, any time, any where. Correction, I think a lot of the hopefuls lack the outlook or attitude that loads of SG's have. Dot and many others aren't modified, but they also hold themselves with a certain demeanor that is strong, independent, they can hold their own and have just a hint of the whole "I might quite possibly kick your arse" thing going on wink

In response to the message you sent me and this blog... I said those things because your comment on Helly's blog was woeful. You don't like someone's opinion? Don't read their blog. However, if you want to continue to prove why she, and many other people, feel that way about Hopefuls then please, keep throwing you opinion out where it's not wanted. You've been a member for 4 months... Your opinion about what this website was and is doesn't count.

I'd prefer you didn't respond to this comment.

I totally agree.. There are too many people here and elsewhere that pay way too much attention to being different just like all their friends.

Let's face it, tattoos and piercings aren't really shocking to most people any more and many people find them sexy (I certainly do). I don't really think it matters what the site is "about." All such sites are defined by their members and what the members like. The girls that are on the site currently will attract new members who will decide what girls will be on the site in the future.
