The last comic-con I went to was in SF about 5 years ago. I remember porn stars selling autographed pics.
This is an insult. I love you girls.

I've already sent them an email, but it is pretty ridiculous. I've seen some things at Wondercon/ComicCon that kinda shocked me and they were nowhere near the SG booth. Let's see how this goes I suppose.

That's not a surprise...I have three booths there (evidently, according to my partner who does the selling/shows) and I was looking up SG and our own booth...and SG isn't listed as an exhibitor.

This is the email I sent.. I thought it not to shabby..

As an attendee of many cons including Comic Con I feel like I should express to you, the PR guy, that while I do enjoy many things at your con and others one of the best booth hang-outs for me is the SG booth. The girls are always friendly, responsive, and personable (as a Public Relations official I am sure you can respect those traits). I, personally, think that you banning them based on potential " I SWEAR I saw this one thing happen this one time" is a little absurd. In fact, I am pretty sure that if minors wanted to buy adult material they could just grab a ride to their local barnes and noble store where they have an adult art section and pass away the hours without anyone asking for ID. I severely doubt that anything even remotely unbecoming as giving adult material to minors happened from the SG booth at your con. I would appreciate a little consideration on the matter and thinking more logically instead of a knee-jerk reaction to a "I think I saw".

"(Rod) Mojica conveyed that the reason for the ban was because a member of Comic-Con International's Board of Directors purchased an adults-only SuicideGirls DVD at Wondercon 2010 without being ID'd and that the same man also saw, first hand, an underage person purchase a DVD from SuicideGirls without an ID check. Mojica did not name the member of the Board of Directors who made the above claim."

Now, if above is even remotely true how did said Board Member know the age of the person or persons underage?

So confusing, so the site's not banned but they're suddenly not on list to have a booth. Something they've done 9 out of 10 years.

Nevermind I just read why. That's kind of bullshit considering all the fan-girls with their costumes not leaving much to the imagination. Not that I'm complaining. I'm just saying.

Everyone should show up anyway, even without a booth, we'll know who you lovely ladies are and it will show the dumbasses who banned SG that your spirit can't be broken! I live right across from the convention center and am looking forward to the event, but if the SGs aren't going to make it, I think there will be many upset fans.

Sounds like dude has something personal going on. Doubt he's a religious nutter since he bought the DVD. Did he hit on one of the girls at the booth and get shot down, perhaps?
