I spoke me Spanish before I met my wife. As we dated , long distance relationship me in NY and her in the Dominican Republic - lots and lots of airline miles were raked up in those two and a half years, my Spanish got worse. She had taken English lesson for years when we met while I had get-around Spanish that required me to think before I spoke. So as we dated she would speak to whomever we need to speak to because she would be to impatient to wait for me and my Spanish.
