I am so sorry about your grandfather!

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. I've lost both of my grandfathers in the last few years. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to know them as an adult. Many of my friends lost theirs when they were little. I don't think you ever really know how to handle it. Even if it happens repeatedly. You always just do the best you can.

Congratulations on the degree. Do you have any job prospects yet? How are you planning on putting your degree into action?

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather - it's never easy knowing that one of your loved ones is going be leaving you - even worse watching other loved ones go through your pain as well. All of you stick together though - be your mothers shoulder to cry on. I think us young'ns often forget about our parents at time like these - as their child we were born with the belief that they're made of the strongest stuff.. Sometimes they need us too though. I am so sorry to hear this. I myself just lost my grandfather last year, and while we were not particularly close, the hardest part was watching the sadness in my mother and grandmother. If there is anything we can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask.

It is never easy watching the people we care about grow old. I think it's great that you are doing the walk. I bet that means so much to your grandfather. I hope he doesn't have too much pain.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, my great grandmother who also is 96 had to watch one of her 3 children die 2 yrs ago. My great aunt. It was so tough seeing her lose one of her children. I am sorry that your great news had to be tainted with such a sad period in your life. But you made it through college, congradulations!

I'd like to tell you something profound but all I can think of is "death sucks!". Someone that you loved and depended on suddenly is no longer there. The only thing you can do is keep them in your thoughts and memories.
