Good afternoon my little perogies!
It's been too long! I say it every time but its always true.
So before I get into life as of late, I want to say thank you to everyone who has left love and support for my new set Sunbathing. If you haven't seen it yet, go take a look and let me know what you think!! It's easily my favorite so far!
Life here in Vegas is getting better. I'm still not in love with my job but I have made a few friends in town and I'm currently waiting to hear from some of them about something better. I've also moved into a new place in a nice part of town. I've got a whole house to myself and a pool in the back yard.
Not a bad way to spend summer!! Plus my birthday is Friday, so Sunday I'm going to have my very first pool party! It will be just a few friends over for beer, batched cocktails and BBQ.
I have decided that if I'm not totally in love with Vegas by the time my house sitting duties are complete, I'll head back to NYC. I do miss my friends and city living. But maybe the summer with bring a new season of opportunity and experience.
In other news, I recently shot a new set with the wonderful and amazing CDO. I'm so excited to see it hit member review in June!!! He's been such a joy to have here in Vegas. We haven't been able to spend a ton of time together but it's nice knowing that there are great people here, I just need to get out more and meet them!!

Wow! Four months since my last post! Time has really slipped away from me!
Despite the four months things are roughly the same. I'm here in Vegas for now. It's not really my cup of tea. I'm learning not to hate it but I'm far from loving it. The weather is beautiful though. March 15th and it's 90 degrees!! I've always loved the heat.
As usual, I don't have time to write a lot but since I have a new set in MR, I thought I'd hop on here and give an update.
Speaking of my new set..... I'm super excited about this one. I worked with the wonderful and amazing Brooklyn again and we both agree, this is our best work yet!!!

Other than work I spend a lot of time with my dog. The desert is just a few miles from where I live so I take him hiking almost every day. It's always so beautiful out there. And it's easily the only thing that's kept me sane after this crazy move.
I've started teaching myself to sew. I've had a lingerie addiction for a while now. I've been sketching designs for a long time but I've never had a sewing machine. So I'm starting from scratch and teaching myself. I'd like to turn it into something some day but for now I have to stop breaking needles!!! Haha.
That's all for now.... I drove back from LA last night so I have a ton of stuff to do here before work. I'm hoping I can call LA home soon though!!

I hope all is well on your end! I have officially moved to Las Vegas! Im not sure how long I will be here as I have job opportunities in Miami but Im building my life here for now!
This will have to be a quick update but I thought that I would share most of whats been going on with you through my photos. I post a lot on Instagram if you want to follow me! (@jkonik)
My final days in NYC were bitter sweet. I was lucky enough to get out the night before Hurricane Sandy hit. I am so glad I did because a lot of my old neighborhood was under water! Many of the bars in the family I was working in were damaged or destroyed but thats the worst news of all of it.
Before I left NYC I decided that I should probably go see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Both were fun and interesting and worth the $17.
My wonderful friends came out for my going away party.... And my dearest lady friend got me a little gift! We each have a half of a best friends heart! I havent had one since I was in grade school! Its been fun to wear because it always gets a laugh!
Other than that the party was great! So many friends came out to say goodbye and to wish me luck. I feel very loved.
So now here I am in Las Vegas. Its been a wild week already! This town is crazy. I thought it would be a little more mellow living here but since I am trying to get a job in a club I seem to be going out every night to start networking.
Last night was Hyde at the Bellagio and then ACT at the Palazzo. The night before was Moon at the Palms and Halloween was Marquee at the Cosmopolitan.... I havent quite gotten sick of all the fun here but I am sure I will soon.
I like this town!
For Halloween I went out to see the parade and for people watching on Fremont. I dressed up as a chicken! A costume inspired by the wonderful Rigel in a halloween set from a few years ago!
I had to give credit because it was a total hit. People loved it! And it didnt hurt that my boyfriend looked like a sick freak by my side!
And now my mother and grandmother are here! I took them to see the boyfriend do his show on Friday night. Neither one of them has seen a BlueMan show before. They loved it.
Thats my boyfriend there killing it for the audience!
And that is pretty much my life now! I am still working on getting a job. Maybe something downtown while I work on getting into the clubs (more $$$$!!!)
Its been great being with my boyfriend again, spending time with old friends and having a big beautiful house with a pool to live in!

Hello again dear friends!
First and foremost I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has commented on my new setUrban Jungle!
Ive been a busy girl the past few months. I went on a road trip, became a mom, moved..... its all been a big adventure.
So to start: I got a puppy! I am the proud new mother of a three month old dachshund pup. And I have fallen in love!
I spend the month of April visiting family out west. I bought a new motorcycle there and ended up driving it to Vegas to see my boyfriend. He is living out there now as a Blue Man. Yes, you read that right. Its silly but a great job. Ill be spending more time out there in the coming months.
The road trip was amazing. I didnt take a ton of pictures but here a few.
The other big news is that I managed to break my nose boxing. Its all healed up now and totally fine except for a small scar. I had a black eye for a bit..... I just thought this picture was funny....
There's so much more to share but I have to run into work! I should have a computer again soon so hopefully more updates will be coming!

Hello again SG friends!
It seems my posts are getting fewer and further in between. As much as I miss all of you, my life just seems to stay busy and hectic! I have a Friday night off for once and instead of going out, I am here, at home, enjoying some quiet time and catching up on old email and of course with all of you.
The year 2011 is almost gone and I like to think back and reflect on the things that have shaped it. The good and the bad make up our lives and I like to look back with a smile.
It seems my posts are getting fewer and further in between. As much as I miss all of you, my life just seems to stay busy and hectic! I have a Friday night off for once and instead of going out, I am here, at home, enjoying some quiet time and catching up on old email and of course with all of you.
The year 2011 is almost gone and I like to think back and reflect on the things that have shaped it. The good and the bad make up our lives and I like to look back with a smile.
The past few months have been really great. I love my job, my apartment and my very sweet boyfriend.
In early October I got to go up to New Hampshire for the first time ever! The leaves were changing and the weather was cool and nice. I would have loved to spend more time up there but it was a quick trip as Ben was only going for a track race. I spent the day riding horses instead of being one of those women that waits around all day at the track for her man. Horses are more fun.
At the end of the day I went to pick Ben up and he was thrilled to announce that he had won. Just look at that happy face!
We recently took a trip back to Portland visit my mom and grandmother. It was Ben's first time to Portland and meeting them but it went very well. We really packed the sight seeing in with family, friends, the city, the gorge, OMSI, the coast and of course a trip to my grandparents' farm. Here's a few photos from the trip!
I went shooting with my mom, her husband and Ben. Here I am holding an AK-47 which might be the most terrifying and exciting experience of power.
