It's always surprising to me, the dichotomy of innocence and darkness that can exist in some people.
I mean, this person is clearly drawn to your work, which is awfully dark, and that would seem to indicate at least a passing acquaintance with the darker side of life.
Yet somehow they have managed to maintain an incredibly naive perspective on law enforcement and the people who fill out its ranks.
Certainly not all cops are "automatic monsters" but they're not all compassionate "protectors" either...
And yeah, what IS fiction? It's becoming a very important question in the literary world...
