My life has never been consistent like it is now. It’s honestly, truly amazingly comfortable. I love it. I love this city. This morning I went to my favorite café in Brooklyn, sitting there in a dark corner with my cappuccino writing amongst other writers. The sense of belongingness has never been so rich. The lyric from my favorite song right now running through my head: "it's okay to be safe."
I used to live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, a brat infested college town of Christian Betty Pompoms, meatheads and date rape was a hobby. Whenever I was spotted reading a book in a café some lame ass would ask, “Oh, no, do you have to read that for a class?”
Fuck you, some people actually have a mind of their own and like to read. Also if you were gay you were going to hell and if you wore black you just slaughtered a bunch of chickens for no reason. That. Kinda. Town.
New York is just so incredible…………..
Anyway as I was saying, consistency. I’ve been working really hard on “everyone is chuckers” inspired by actual events in my life but its “fiction,” though anything that’s not true yet can one day be………….the book’s primary focus is on squatter life in Chicago in 1996, it’s about so much, and my favorite character is Billy Casino………..I want this book to bang and flow………..every paragraph perfected and tight, insane brilliance is what I’m going for. This will NOT be rejected by the metal teeth mafia of the publishing masses.

in other news i quit smoking 4 months ago. yesterday i bought a pack just to see if i can fight off temptation. so far, so good.

i'm in the mood for a rootbeer float and tanning on the roof somewhere.........
