i just read my hororscope and part of it said this - now you're far wiser about where your talents lie and what kind of people you DON'T want in your life.

i have to run now. i'm finally mailing my letter and the first three chapters of this new thing i'm working on to my agent called "Bound to die young," about a struggling punk band who's bassist kills himself and the singer becomes addicted to sexual abuse............then tonight its all about christmas trees and guitars.
me and treason are going to guitar center where i'll get to annoy people with my inability to play the keyboards...........

***found the hardback edition of The Exorcist tonight, creepy fucktastic cover, and i just started reading it and LOVE the writing, also reading Kim Mclarin's Taming It Down...........the last time i read 2 books at once they were Richard Ramirez: Night Stalker and William Burroughs Naked Lunch............

Good luck with the manuscript.

Tommy English luck. A buddy of mine I will probably
write about in the Journal. Hell, a neighbor of yours.
And I don't think he is seriously dating anyone? Anyway
Judith Reagan did his last book, and so he thought he
could talk her up to $60 grand advance on the next. She
balked, so through the detail I will write in later he went to
auction, and woke up this past Monday morning with a
call from his agent saying Reagan had come back to top
the last bid, and keep him in house. How much, he asked. 215,000! Shit, he laughed over the phone Tuesday night. She could of had me for $75,000 last week! He will be following it up with what I am sure will be
a definitive and thoroughly Soprano like entertaining story
of the world of gangsters in pre Castro Cuba. Tommy is
a wonderful crime writer. Just wonderful. And the older brother to I don't know how many beautiful sisters back home in his native state of Washington. I had something to do with getting him his first book. Or my agent did....

Anyway, Tommy English luck to you Jordan. The part about leaving the kids behind, and getting to work sounds
sound. There always is, or seems to be, a new girl waiting at every port. And when she ain't, write a book.

Let's get to know each other better. We are involved in
some of the same gangs. And between Tommy and me,
when it's needed, we can bring the heat. Robert O.

Talk TJ into that show. He'll go for it. Tell him Callahan
said it's a must.
