I did have to set up a "consultation" appointment before I could get the implant. Basically they ran through all the side effects and that stuff, and then I got the actual insertion done 3 days later (the soonest they could do it). So yeah, it was two separate appointments but if you can get them close together it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Another cool thing is that like 25% of women will stop having their period after a year or so of using it. I really hope I'm in that 25% ahaha.
