Hello hello everybunnywink

I see the time between my posts is getting longer and longer and I' don't like that so here we go...
I have no plan for this blog so I'm just going to wing it.

This beautiful bout of depression I've suddenly fallen into these past few weeks.. or months.. can't really be sure.
Well, it's not bugging me anymore.
I've managed to strike a balance.

So while yes I do still love serial killers and I do spend 70-75% of my day reading, researching, recording these marvels, I'm also doing other things.

Let's get the gritty bits over with.

Serial Killer inspired horror flicks.

Now you'd really be surprised by how many of the horrors that we all love so much are actually based on real-life monsters from the past.
And I don't mean the obvious movies that are basically just theatrical renditions of their lives, I mean abstract concepts based on facts.

Here are a few...

(Conveniently spoilered for those who aren't into this kinda thing confused )

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

zoom image
Dahmer

Of course I had to start with Jeffrey Dahmer because I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this man.
It's ridiculous.
I didn't watch this movie because I don't like the actor who played him. I also think it was a bit low budget and I'd probably be disappointed.
I'm not a fan of re-enactments. I find them... hollow.
His documentaries had so many corny re-enactments that I ended up just downloading the footage of his trial and then searching crime scene photo's and then looking up his interviews. I feel like this gave me a more in depth look and more personal knowledge of him than knowing when he was born and what toys he played with growing up.

And maybe someday I can join this little club of die-hards..

zoom image

No I'm kidding.
Dreamy though, isn't he?love

zoom image
Night Stalker

Another infamous killer who got his own box office hit was Richard Ramirez aka The Night Stalker (I wrote about him in my last blog).

and now in rapid-fire..

zoom image
Monster - based on Aileen Wournos

zoom image
Henry- based on Henry Lee Lucas

zoom image
Bundy - based on Ted Bundy

All of these are okay I guess, I mean it's nice to see a dramatized version for those of us who are too squeamish to sit through a fact-based documentary.

But what I REALLY love, are those movies you don't expect.
The writers who take a small part of facet of what these serial killers did and warp it into something so amazingly fantastic that you can't even recognize it anymore.

Now, from what I can tell, the serial killer with the most movies to his name is Ed Gein.
I might be wrong though.
This guy was a real piece of work.
In his house he had things like lamp shades and waste-baskets made of human skin and bowls made of human skulls.
Is it surprising that he's been such an inspiration to horror writers?
From where I stand, it doesn't take much tweaking to make his story sound unreal.

His movies include:

zoom image
Psycho

zoom image
Silence of the Lambs

zoom image
American Psycho

And, my personal favourite

zoom image
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Other serial killers who inspired awesome horror films include..

Albert Fish who inspired the story of..

zoom image
Hannibal Lechter

H. H. Holmes who inspired..

zoom image
The Saw series
(Now, if you haven't read this guy's story I really suggest that you do. He invented a sort of "hotel of horrors" and every room was rigged with some kind of torture device. What he did bordered on genius. If you love the movies, you'll LOVE his story)

OKAY!
Enough about that for now..

Recently I've once again gotten into my old hobby of baking (and by "recently" I mean 3 days ago)

I made....

zoom image
Rainbow marble cake

zoom image

zoom image
Mixed choc-chip cookies

And

zoom image
Cuppacino cupcakes with coffee cream

I had so much fun making all this and they all tasted really good!
I'm happy to have gotten back into the swing of baking againbiggrin

If you want recipe's they should hopefully be up in the SG kitchen feature thing soonwink

Speaking of SG stuff, thank you all so much for all the love you've been showing to my newest baby Suicide Girls For Dummies!

zoom image

It's always good to know that you guys enjoy viewing my sets just as much as I enjoy making them!kiss

Also speaking of sets, I'd like to introduce you all to my friend Astoria_

zoom image

She kinda found me on Facebook a while back and we got to chatting and she told me she wants to be an SG and all that jazz and I was MAD for it. I mean, this girl is over the top beautiful.
You know those girls who are so perfect they make you wanna throw up?
Yeah, she's one of them.
I was so amped for her to shoot a set and then for it to go into MR I knew it was just a matter of time before her dream was a reality.
That's shy I can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME understand why she hasn't gone pink!
I mean, just look at her!!eeek

zoom image

So please show her set some love!
Like, if you only have 5 minutes to live. And you can only comment on one set. And in the life and death pressure you're oscilating between my set and hers. And you're scared cause you know I'll kick your butt if you don't give my set love.
In this situation, you should pick her set.
Because I've already had 2 sets bought and she NEEDS to go pink!!!
Get it? Got it? Good.
I'm glad we could all have this talkwink

In other news, I've recently started Roller Derby.. Yaay!!biggrin
It's so much fun and it hurts real bad but it's worth it!
There's so many gorgeous tatted girls there that I've taken to carrying my SG stickers in my wallet.
I feel like one of those model scouts in the moviesbiggrin
But if it pays off and we can get more SA SG's, how awesome would that be?!?!

Here's a pretty vid of our girls..

Okay.. uhm.. let me think..

Nope, I think that's about it for now.
Will try get back into the rhythm of making regular blogs!!blush

I love you guys, have an awesome week!kiss

GREAT blog as always lady!! smile Okay, let's start true to form:

I'm glad you're doing a little better, hun. I'm sending hugs your way!

As far as your love for serial killers, YES!!! You have NO idea how happy you have made me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Saw series!!! It's my FAVORITE horror movie, and I genuinely had no idea it was based off an ACTUAL murderer!!!

Monster was a good movie, but because I saw it when I was much younger, it was a little bit on the tramatizing side for me, lol. But I LOVE my ladies who kill, that's for sure! I love reading about female murderers probably more-so than the men, especially if they killed the men and lured them in a way that didn't have to play off their sexuality, but I LOVE how some women have just mastered the femme fatale game.

Pyscho is one of my favorites! DId you see the remake with Vince Vaughn? He was PERFECT for that role---it just suit him to the point where I felt severely creeped out.

I have GOTTA see American Psycho. Period, lol.

Moving on!!!! I am SOOOO jealous of your baking talents!!!! Everything you make always looks SO delicious! Share some recepies with me! God knows I need the practice/challenge!

Left Astoria some love! She's SO beautiful!!!!! And congrats on the roller derby!! You seriously live an exciting life, honey!

I hope all is well with you! Love you much, beautiful!!! kiss

Monster is one of my favourite films. Have you seen the Aileen documentary? So interesting.
And I need to check out the guy who inspired Saw- I thought they were 100% fiction.
Also, did you see anything on Ian Brady, about them thinking he revealed the location of Keith Bennett before his death but they're not 100% sure yet? So sad for Keith's family frown

I can't lie... if I ever had a chance to sample your food, I'd hesitate because I'd worry if it was made out of your victims. haha jk blush

So the list is only for films based on actual killers, right? Otherwise, there's Suspect Zero, Se7en, The Riverman and The Last Horror Movie.

More SA SGs sounds extremely gorgeous! And I want Astoria to shoot another set! She is gorgeous I think the absolutely only problem was the lighting --- made her skin look, well, since it's comic-themed -- like Starfire (Tamaraneans are sexy, don't get me wrong!). I really hope to see more from her soon!

Movies like that are very intriguing...especially the true-to-life ones. Morbid to some, but thought provoking in my opinion. You're beautiful...hope you maintain the balance in your lifekiss

I SHOULD pop by, maybe this coming week, since I'm slightly depressed too (Although you say you're better... which is good.), and the girls always cheer me up. smile

I have to admit, the Raging Whoremones are my team of choice. Ling is the one who got me in to the whole Roller Derby thing in the first place, so I kinda owe them my support. smile It was so great when I went to visit them in the change room before the last bout at Wembly. They actually cheered when I came in!! Damn that felt good. biggrin

I was there about a month and a half ago and there were SO many freshies compared to April. I bet it's way up now. This thing is growing so quickly!

And yeah... there are so many girls there who are totally suited to SG. I hope you manage to recruit a few.

well, I'm suspicious to talk about movies ... I did radio and tv college, here in Brazil, is almost equal to the cinema. I've always liked movies and collect them for years. some of these you say, I don't know, but my favorite genre is horror and suspense. I just love Hitchcock (got a tattoo with his name), and I have 26 movies of him! he's a "muse" to me!love

about sweets, I love them! I want all! hahahhahabiggrin

about your set and the Astoria, like both and hope to see you in FP and she turns pink soon! you deserve it!kiss
