into: Metalsmithing and anthologies.
not into: Excuses.
makes me happy: Working in my studio, art, art, art, estuaries, the ocean, ambiguity, a cold beach, my cat, symbiotic relationships in nature, skiing on a brisk morning, attending art lectures, working on old electronics, books piled everywhere so that you can't barely make it to the next room, the smell of the south on a hot summer night, swamp things, herb gardens, gathering and harvesting. I recently started making my own wine and really have loved every second of it. Collecting everything and anything I can find on a shore that's not completely decomposing, old big houses, autumn in New York, Jen Dm, WWII nurses, drawn out processes, staying in bed until someone brings me my coffee, horticulture, androgeny, Flora and Fauna, Natural History Museums, using my hands, a good lover, cooking for anyone and everyone I love, bone structure, handwritten letters, drawing a hot bath, women, metal, metalsmithing, sickos, brainy people, veiny people, head shrinking, human hair, prosthetics, internet doms, anthropology, cell biology, marine biology, psychology, palaeontology, archaeology, astrology, geology...let's just say science and studies. I enjoy themes of taxonomy, being with my sisters, ghost stories, good conversations, hidden conversations, a sharp jaw line, Prarie Home Companion and Fresh Air, a good glass of bourbon, blood, any body of water I can lose myself in for a second, a person who knows how to tell a story, Anais Nin Erotica, horror, feminism, storm fronts, antique stores, canines, mermaids and monsters, engraving anything you'll let me, the process of mummification, Renaissance Cabinets of curiosities', the sound of an old record just getting started, etc.
makes me sad: The fact that I'll never be able to read all the books in the world before I die.
hobbies: Self preservation and expanding my ever growing collection of natural oddities. I also read. A lot.
