You and I would get along beautifully....I do the exact same thing with music. I've made entire playlists on my iTunes based on stuff I've written or themes that I think a soundtrack should have. I have a ridiculous amount of music and I love putting stuff together like that. Plus I discover a lot or random music that I've discovered on random TV shows

We had rain most of the day on the 4th, but the skies cleared just in time. We went over to the top floor of a parking garage near my office and had a great view of the fireworks - it was pretty cool.
Summer's been fairly uneventful thus far. Haven't done much traveling to see shows due to trying to put the race car together - it's coming along, but slowly. After SXSW, the only thing I've gone to was The Buzzcocks and The Dolllyrots in Dallas. But Teenage Bottlerocket will be playing here in OKC tomorrow night, so that should be fun.
