Story of the day.......

Buenos Aires, Argentina (AHN) -- An eight-year-old dog named La China reportedly saved the life of an abandoned baby girl by 'mothering' her with her puppies.

According to the La Nacion newspaper, farmer Fabio Anze discovered the naked girl being nursed by China together with her new puppies in the city of La Plata, 40 miles south of Buenos Aires.

Doctors pronounced the girl weighing 4kg or 8lb 13 oz, was out of harms way, except for only minor cuts and bruises. The baby was born only a few hours earlier, doctors say.

Local media dubbed the girl as "the miracle baby" with some describing her as "the Argentine Romulus and Remus," the founders of Rome abandoned as babies and rescued by a wolf almost 3000 years ago.

Police said the baby was born prematurely to a 14-year-old girl in the shanty town of La Plata. The girl reportedly panicked and abandoned the baby in a field, surrounded by wooden boxes and other trash.

China reportedly picked up the baby and carried her to her place alongside her puppies some 50 meters away.

The police had taken custody of the baby while deciding her future.

Some things have definitely been going down. They're really making me consider my life. Watching the little hummers float around while I was swimming was absolute bliss though.

I love Argentina! I'm thinking about going there for my honeymoon. I love how in some places in the world magic still slides alongside real life.

We don't have a honeymoon date at all. We have been married almost 2 years and haven't been able to afford a honeymoon yet. We are moving to Vancouver in the next year and we are trying to save a lot more than we need so that when we are settled and we can take a vacation we will have most of the money already saved up.

Where did you move from? Do you like LA?

Yeah, Bali has been on my list for ages! My ol hus doesn't want to do it so much though so I will do it later as a trip with some girlfriends or something. We are also considering Spain or Poland. It's exciting to think about all the places we could go! We are leaning toward anywhere that speaks Spanish, as ol hus is pretty good at speaking it.

Humboldt is supposed to be so beautiful, I'd love to go there sometime!!
